Iris' Perspective:

My eyes snapped open to see a world of lightning. It struck the atmosphere out of then air, with no clouds to spawn them. A new shade of energy appeared each time: emerald, scarlet, violet. A rainbow of bolts, from all over the visible spectrum. However, some colors had no name. For they had never been seen before by any man. All I could associate them with was a feeling: triumph, despair, hope, anger. These colors traversed around me-in me-sending me waves of intense emotions all at once. My eyes danced across the landscape, reflecting it's utter beauty. Where am I?

I could see faint shadows soaring above my head. I craned my neck to see winged creatures zooming in the air like eagles circling their prey. The predators swooped lower, getting closer each second. As they approached, I was able to discern their faces; they were not human. Their faces were creased with the lines of a thousand wrinkles. Their skin was a pale grey, almost like it was desiccating. Their eyes were black, an abyss of darkness. Their dried flesh reached out for me, trying to pull me under. I started to sink, as if quicksand was burying me alive. I tested my super speed, and was able to escape the ghoulish creatures. I ran through the barrier of lightning into a completely different realm. I was transported to a great hall, adorned with beautiful red and yellow flowers; I recognized it immediately.

The conductor held his baton and gave a grande flick, commanding the first que. With the nod of each scroll, music was made. The wooden instruments started together, each section balancing each other. The great bases and cellos offered low, deep notes, lighting the winding path of the tone. Violins and violas walked the rocky road, belting out the main chords. Each player swayed this way and that, their bows placed firmly on the strings. A harp stood behind the rest, plucking each string with grace and finesse. Together, the orchestra was in unison, each note in perfect harmony. The music echoed through the crowd, each person consumed in the tune. The vocalist, Kara*, grasped the microphone and held it to her lips. She closed her eyes and opened her heart; her radiant voice sang out:

"Can't say how the days will unfold. Can't change what the future may hold," Kara faintly smiled and quietly serenaded, "But I want you in it. Every hour, every minute." I looked around. Barry was beaming at the alter, his cheeks flustered with color and his eyes filled with tears of joy. Oliver and Cisco stood promptly beside him in black, pristine suits with yellow roses in their breast pockets. Across from them were Felicity and Kaitlyn, who wore fine, rose-pink dresses. In their hand, their was a bouquet of red roses, wrapped in a bow of red ribbon. Kara continued to sing, adding a crescendo effect, "This world can race by far too fast! Hard to see while it's all flying past. But it's clear now, when your standing her now. I am meant to be, wherever you are next to me..."

Everyone granted their attention to the big, oak doors at the end of the alter. I did as well, expecting to see my white, wedding gown swooshing down the isle, with my father at my side. Instead, my eyes witnessed a nightmare. Suddenly, the music stopped, vanishing all happiness along with it. The heavy doors creaked open, revealing Eddie in his police uniform. Scarlet canvassed his body, originating from his chest. A bullet to the heart; the cause of death. His face was stiff and his expression was solemn and not moving. He stood there, looking alive. Right in front of me. How is this possible? My eyes swelled with tears. Flashes of memories flood back from that day. I keeled next to his corpse, wishing, preying that he'd come back to me. But, he never did.**

Eddie pronounced monotonously, "We've been expecting you."

*Kara Danvers is Barry's friend, aka "Super Girl", "Girl of Steel", "Maiden of Might", and "The Last Daughter of Krypton".

**Eddie Thawne sacrifices himself in Season 1 Episode 23 of The Flash. He shoots himself in the chest and dies in order to reverse the timeline. REALLY confusing, and I don't want to give any more spoilers. Watch the episode to find out more.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AN: Woah, this chapter really reflects on Season 3 of The Flash when he actually goes into the Speed Force. There was an actually episode in that season called "Into the Speed Force" so that was my inspiration. What will happen to Iris in the Speed Force? Stay tuned. Don't forget to vote and comment! (Here's a video of Kara singing "Running Home To You") <3
