The projection finished. Olivia stared at the names of the 'tributes' that were now out.

Tabitha, Max, Iona, Juan, David, Sianna and Danny. All Tech kids.  All good friends.

Presumably they had formed an alliance. And something had gone wrong.

How many people were out now? Alicia, Daisy, Harry, Teresa, Jacob, Peter, all of those others listed earlier- thirteen. Thirteen people were out. Ethan wasn't competing. That left twenty-nine Elementists left, wondering between those very trees.

Rachael had thought she had known where Toto was.

Clearly, she hadn't.

Originally, she had thought she was close. She had even heard a dog barking, which surely meant that she would catch up with them eventually.

But soon she had been wondering aimlessly with no supplies, no companions, nothing. Nothing at all.

Rachael had tried summoning some skeleton warriors, but in a place of so much life, she had only managed to raise a single arm bone before she had had to give in.

This fake rainforest was too new. Not enough animals had died yet for her to have any power.

She started to run in what she thought was uphill. Luke and Olivia were at camp, right? And their camp was on the top level. If she could climb back up, she might be able to find them. Rachael knew she was no longer as high as she could have been. She must have been on, what, the second to highest level?

Filled with self-reassurance, she broke into a run. Faster and faster over the uneven ground.

Left-right-left-right-left-right-left-righ-

She caught her foot on a log, and cursed, aware she was going to fall flat on her face. Rachael actually managed to land on her feet, but skidded and slipped into a stream.

Oh great.  Rachael was submerged in a turret of icy cold water.

She tried in vain to scramble out, but the current was to strong, pushing her further and further away from the bank Sh*t. Rachael winced as ta rock sliced her skin. She looked up to see-

Sh*t.

Sh*t.
