23: When a Bridge Collapses Underneath You, Scream
Mason began to really enjoy his history lessons.
His next one was on what was known about the people in Olivia's army. Those who the Nemesis had brainwashed.
Felix had only been at Willow Forest for a few months. Long enough to ally with the Death Wolves, who had also been brutally neglected by Olivia, and escape from Olivia's clutches, so he didn't know everything about the people at Willow Forest. But he did know the names, strengths, and weaknesses of a dozen people.
There was the Nemesis, obviously. Then her major slaves, the so-called Councillors. Ethan Fellow was hopeless without any kind of Technology to work with. Rock and Pebble Miner, the two sisters who had been prisoners at Echo Valley for a while, were too dependable on each other. Luke Well would never leave Olivia. Rachael Truth was too pessimistic, and Josie Herd too optimistic.
The first people to arrive at the A of E were Ash and Eve Jenkins, two twins whom Felix didn't know much about. They were Tech Elementists. Felix was pretty certain that there was a Death Elementist called Kirsty Boyd, an Air named Phillip Shields and possibly a Water, Alyn Geman, but he didn't know for certain. Felix had spent most of his time at Willow Forest exploring it, to make it easier to invade. He didn't try to get to know anyone. Very sensibly.
Another lesson, they learnt a bit about the Nemesis herself. That she had been born in Willow Forest. Somehow, she had ended up in a care home. Maybe that was what had made her evil. She was at the same care home as Luke Well, Josephine Herd and Rachael Truth. Olivia had somehow convinced them to escape in order to find Willow Forest. On their way, they had found Rock and Pebble Miner, Ethan Felllow, and, of course, Felix in turn and forced them to join them. Only Felix had seen through Olivia's mask. That she was evil, and wanted nothing better to rule the world, with everyone kneeling down and kissing her manicured feet.

Sasha was nearest to the House of Water, so she approached there first. The white stone building stood bang splat centre in the middle of the huge, saltwater lake which dominated part of the forest and contained virtually every sea creature you could imagine. That could fit in, of course. A Blue Whale calf once found its way into it, but Olivia had to remove it before it got too big.
Oh, and in case you're mortally concerned about Akama the whale, she was teleported right next to a mother Blue Whale and her calf. Akama was adopted by her, and they lived happily ever after in the North Atlantic Ocean. The End.
Anyway, the Water Elementists, Luke, Emma, Tilly, Alyn, Harry, Jamie and Kayla could all use their powers in some way to cross the lake to get to the House of Water. Sasha couldn't. There was a really unstable, rickety-rackety wooden bridge that went there in case of visitors, but Sasha didn't fancy her chances on it. The doorbell was on the other side of the bridge, so it wasn't like Air when you could ring the doorbell at the bottom of the old quarry, and if anyone was in there they'd fly you up.
