"You know, I don't think it's what we say that keeps us up at night. I think it's what we don't say."

____________________"So..." Amelia drawled, "do you have anyone in mind with whom you can hangout?" she questioned looking at me, possibly, and spinning her ice cream spoon round in her fingers.
"What.?" I asked, too busy stuffing my mouth with the ice cream with oreos on top to pay attention. Who can concentrate when the most delicious ice cream is in front of you practically begging to be savoured?
She sighed and repeated again "Do you have anyone in mind with whom you can hangout?"
I put my spoon down, as I had finished the delicacy, and thought about the question, tilting my head to the side, deep in thought.
People I can possibly try to hangout with? A difficult question, indeed.
There are a few contenders who can gain my company, well honestly, a few who would possibly wouldn't mind my presence around them.1. First off is Diana Roberts, who is a girl expert in Biology. She possibly knows almost everything about the human body and various animals and and birds as well. When you sit with her she would randomly blurt out facts to you, which people find really weird and avoid her as best as they can. Like once I was sitting beside her in my geography class, we were doing a map of some country in freshman year when she suddenly blurts out "Did you know that turtles can breathe through their butts?"
First I thought that I didn't clearly hear her but when realization hit me, I looked over to her seeing her continuing with her work and then I couldn't control it, I burst out laughing. Mrs. Young didn't seem to like it and scolded me for my inappropriate behaviour in class but I couldn't stop snickering for the rest of the period. I did not think that her facts would be so funny. But once in Chemistry class while i was lab partners with her, I accidentally tripped a glass tube and the contents were emptied on her clothes, not to mention that our practical was totally ruined and we both got an F. So I am probably not good in her book too.
I struggled to think of someone else who I can possibly hangout with but no name or face came to mind. Well, that's it. She was the only hope I had. Most people ignore me or pretend that I don't exist and I pretend that they don't exist and I just continue living in my own little world of books, Netflix and my best friend.
I looked up at Amelia to see that she was still watching me with a frown, probably waiting for her answer. I practically zoned out for two minutes. I don't do it much but sometimes its just inevitable.
"No, Amelia, I can't think of anybody who would even want to strike a conversation with me let alone hangout," I answered her with a sigh.
Why do people like me suffer? Just because I am socially awkward and I am a nerd doesn't mean that I don't have a good personality. Uggh! Highschool and its cliques!
Millie scrunches her eyebrows, the way she does when she is in deep thought. After about a minute a devilish grin lights up her face and she jumps in excitement. Uh-oh, Amelia is up to something which can't be good because once she has set her mind on something she definitely does it.
She quickly grabs me by the arm pulling me to stand up, and drags me outside the door of the heaven. Yeah an ice cream parlour is a heaven for me.
I have always imagined heaven to be full of books, a running stream of chocolate, ice cream every where, and a free Netflix account with free high speed Wi-Fi. Well, if God wants us to have fun in heaven he/she gotta have all of the mentioned things, otherwise people will feel bored in heaven and if people don't like it in heaven then how is it a heaven? Ya feel me, right?
