"This is all your fault!" I whisper yell.

"Shut up! You too agreed to it!" he whispers

"But you convinced me," I mutter harshly.

"Just shut up right now," he mumbles and I did shut up because there was nothing else to do about it.

We were currently sitting in the Principal's office, waiting for Mr. Olcott, our Principal, to finish his phone call and Adrian and I were currently fighting as his idea of bunking some periods has landed us in trouble.

Mr. Olcott was a man in late 40's, his hair greying a bit and a friendly face which can easily turn into a serious and dangerous one when a student misbehaves. But he is quite a good man.

"So, Mr. Hunt and Miss Holland would one of you please tell why did you two bunk the first half?" Mr. Olcott asks us after ending the phone call.

I look beside me at Adrian, widening my eyes, silently telling him to make an excuse. He catches my eye and sighs.

"When we-uh, when Mrs. River told us to stand outside the class in the 1st period, Cupc- uuh Camilla here accidentally hit her foot on the door while passing it and I being a gentleman I am took her to the nearby hospital," he explains finishing with a smug grin.

I rolled my eyes at him and raised an eyebrow at him silently conveying 'Seriously?' If I had hurt my foot he would have taken me to the infirmary not the fudging hospital!!

Mr. Olcott turns to me and asks,"Is this true Miss Holland?"

I decide to go along with it,"Yes sir, I hit my foot pretty badly and it was hurting a lot. We went to the infirmary but the school nurse wasn't there and I couldn't really bear the pain so he took me to the nearby hospital where a doctor tended my foot," I explained, biting my lip, hoping he would buy it.

"Oh, ok," he says, still uncertain,"but you both have half an hour detention after school as you should have come after the doctor treated your foot and also you should have asked permission before going," he states.

We both groan Adrian doesn't protest nor do I as I know that when Mr. Olcott states a punishment he doesn't back down. And seriously half hour isn't much.

We both stand up from our seats and make our way to the door, I was just going to push it open when Mr. Olcott's voice booms,"Well, how is your foot now, Miss Holland?"

I turn at him and frown, his look holds amusement and he gestures to my foot, I understand and my eyes widen. My foot was hurt so bad that I had to go to the hospital and now I wasn't even limping a little.

I blushed in embarrassment and stuttered,"It-its f-fine now, sir."

I heard sniggering by my side and I turned to glare at Adrian, his sniggers turned into coughs and I smiled satisfactorily.

"An hour detention. You may go now," Mr. Olcott orders in a humorous tone.

And we both need not to be told twice, we both scurry out of the office in a hurry and make our way to the direction of the Chemistry class, not wanting to bunk twice in one day.

I turn to him,"That was such a lame excuse!" I exclaim suddenly.

He raises both of his eyebrows,"Well, if you could come with a better excuse then you were most welcome and it was going all well when you forgot to limp your way out of the office and we got an hour detention," he glares at me.
