"The life in which I am forever a child, looking
Out my window at the night sky
Thinking one day I'll hold the world with bare hands.
Even if it burns."-Tracy K Smith
________________________________"No Tyler, don't cry baby I am here, tell me what happened," I cooed to the little boy.
When I had entered into Adrian's house, I noticed that Sienna had already left and there was also no sign of Adrian as I had entered the lavish penthouse further.
There was absolutely no sound, it was complete silence, unnerving actually but I had heard soft sniffles coming from what I had presumed to be the toilet.I got so worried and anxious that I practically had run to the bathroom beside the staircase, though I had made out that the whimpers must have been Tyler's nothing prepared me for the sight I saw.
Tyler was sitting with his back to the bathroom wall, knees drawn up to his chest, head resting on his kneecaps as he let out heart wrenching sobs. That was enough to break my heart as I quickly went in front of the little boy to find out that his calf had a huge gash that was oozing a lot of blood.
I had quickly picked up the little boy, even though he flinched a little, I just couldn't take the sight of the cute little always happy boy crying like that.
I had cleaned his bruise properly, and he tried to lower his defence reflexes that were on a height at that time, it took a lot of cottons to properly clean all of the blood that had covered his whole calf, I could feel my tears trying to break through but I controlled my emotions as best as I could because Tyler was such an empathetic child he would actually start comforting me.
I did not ask him anything as I did all this and also changed his school uniform by making him wear some fresh clothes, he was obedient and quite cooperative in all of this. Though he sniffled from time to time.
I made him rest on his bed, with his injured leg stretched out and bandaged and hugged him as tightly as I could.
After a while of me comforting him, I asked him the question that was in my mind all along.
He sniffed and rubbed his tear stained cheeks now looking down in shame.
"T, you know I am your friend, right? Your sweet little friend who loves you and will always listen to you? Please tell this friend, what happened?"
He still looked down so I made him look up at me and I clasped my hand together making my eyes big and doey and sticking my bottom lip out, making my puppy face and I say," Pwease tell this fwend"
A little chuckle slipped out of his mouth,"You're so childish, Cammy," and I smiled because he's just so fucking cute and I made this little bubble smile.
His eyes welled up again though as he started to tell me what had happened and my eyes widen with each sentence he told me. I seldom felt anger this strong.

Flashback (3rd person)Tyler was unusually happy today as he played with his friend Ahmad in the park near his school after his school had ended, his Dad hadn't yet come to pick him up as he had promised he would do and Ahmad's sister was also late today. Ahmad and him had made a strong friendship bond the minute Tyler started helping the rather thin black haired boy with his drawing in the art class.
The young boy was also filled with ecstasy because he knew his babysitter would come and play with him when he reached home. He really liked her. "Maybe I can watch Finding Dory today," he quietly giggled thinking about the fun he would have with Cammy, as he called her.
