Chapter 21 Secrets and Lies (Episode 21)

I feel like the weight on my shoulders been lifted off a bit. My relationship with Spen is back to normal the same as my dad. Unfortunately, I forgot to inform my dad about Zack's faking death. I should probably let Zack do the explanation instead of me.

Sometimes, each one of us has our own reasons why hiding dark secrets to someone we love. Our reason is not to let them involve our problem and keep it to ourselves. Now I know what Zack feels like to hide someone from we care and they're completely oblivious of what is happening their surroundings.

Novilene chuckled nervously and steps back away from Reid. He smirked and she squealed being tackled by a hug on him. Reid rubs her cheek against her as Novilene tried to push him away.

"Spen! Come on, it was just an accident." She whined and completely covered in flour just like him.

Both lovers are decided to bake a muffin for their date tomorrow, however, they are throwing flour against each other and Reid manage to cover her with flour.

"By dropping a flour on my face." He spoke sarcastically and peck on her lips. "Totally accident."

"It's not my fault I'm dating a tall guy like you." She blushed furiously and Reid leans his head towards her. "Forgive me?"

"I forgive you. I'm pretty sure that Maricar is not going to be happy seeing the kitchen is a mess." He looked at his surroundings that the kitchen is covered in flour by their war.

"Seeing you two happy makes me smile." They both jumped in surprised and slipped by a flour.

Crash!

"Oh my!" Maricar exclaimed and didn't mean to scare them. "Do you want me to come with you darlings?"

"It's fine, Maricar..." Reid groaned and didn't expect Novilene is on top of his body. "You okay, Lenny?"

"Peachy." She stands up and offers her hand on him. "You?"

"Fine as well." He accepts it and stands up. "Sorry about the kitchen, Maricar."

"It's quiet, alright, sweetie." Maricar assured him and smiling at them sheepishly. "Both of you are injured?"

"We're fine, Ma." Novilene answered. "Do you need anything, mama?"

"Jason called and wants you two for the case immediately." Maricar informed them and stared. "You two need to clean up before going to work. I can take it from here."

"By yourself?" Reid asks worriedly the idea of an elder woman cleaning the kitchen by herself, makes him want to help her.

"Oh, sweetie." She chuckled and shakes her head. "My granddaughter-in-law, Julia, is coming to visit me today. I won't be alone."

"Julia is coming today?" Novilene asks her grandmother and watching the wall clock its 2:00 in the morning.

"Yes, she wants to spend time with me since I ask and steal her away from Ethan." Novilene chuckled and wasn't surprised by Ethan being the possessive husband he is to Julia. "Chop, chop."

"He was CIA escort, ok?" Garcia explained whispered to Reid, JJ and Novilene about this case relates to CIA. "It's weird, a little scary."

"What do you suppose this is all about?" JJ asks curiously.

"Call me cynical, but considering it's 2 AM, I doubt it's good news." Reid spoke up as himself and Novilene didn't sleep since they're focusing to do baking.
