Chapter 17 Somebody's Watching (Episode 18)

I'm worried about Lenny's well-being because she's been on and off working with us especially they needed her for the mission. It's killing me inside when Morgan and I found out that her dead boyfriend, Zack, is alive and Lenny was completely furious of that news. None of us didn't expect for her to lose control when she always calm and collected person.

I always worried if Lenny is going back to be with Zack and going to break up with me. Ever since I met her, my whole world turn upside down and I never expect to be in a relationship of Gideon's daughter. Will things going to change between us? I don't want to let her go especially when I found someone who accepted me, who I really am. ~Spencer Reid

Novilene was glad that her father invited her to the seminar with Reid for the lecture tomorrow morning. She knew that Gideon tried to relax her just a little despite all she'd been through. The young woman hasn't touched the memory card ever since they encounter Zack. She was afraid to know the whole story and don't know what to do with it. Novilene knew that Reid and Morgan overheard their conversation because of the way she stared at her like she's going to break into tears in a minute.

"Hey, Lenny." Reid called her to snapped out her thoughts and glanced at him.

"Sorry, it seems like I'm lost in deep thoughts." She smiled sheepishly and pushing her glasses up to stare at the painting.

"Does that has something to do with him?" He whispered in case Gideon heard it since he has no clue about Zack's alive.

"Yeah, so many questions filled in my head." She whispered back and appreciated that he and Morgan haven't told Gideon about Zack yet. "I haven't got a chance to see it what exactly happen."

"Did he gave you something to explain? Why he lied in the first place?" She nodded her head and intertwining her hands with his.

"I'm scared and terrified to know the truth." Novilene stared at her boyfriend. "The truth hurts but sometimes... you just need to learn to accept it."

"Why are you hesitating about it?"

"I-I don't want to be alone to learn the truth about it." Reid hugged her gently seeing her sad makes his heartache. "Maybe after this, I have to open it."

"I'm always here for you, Lenny. Don't forget that." Reid made a bold move to kiss her head in public.

"Spencer! Spencer Reid!" A man called her boyfriend as they turned around to see him wearing a business suit. "Dude! Look at you! You look just the same. Haha!" Reid awkwardly hugged him back by the sudden action as Novilene smiled in amusing. "Look at you, dude. Nothing's changed Spencer was only 12-year-old in our graduating class. Just the same."

"Thanks." Reid weakly smiled at his former classmate. "This is Special Agent Jason Gideon and Special Agent Novilene Cruz, my girlfriend. This is Parker Dunley. We went to high school together, as you can probably gather."

"How you doing?" Gideon asks and shaking hands with Dunley.

"Hey and dude! I didn't know you're dating her." Dunley shakes his hands with Novilene. "It's must've been hard dating your co-worker."

"It does and we manage to balance it well." Novilene spoke up and smiled politely of Reid's former classmate. "It's a beautiful gallery and the painting makes me speechless how you convey it so much."

"She also got the Bachelor of Arts." Reid spoke with a proud tone and wrapping his arms around her shoulder to pull close. "Lenny is good at painting."
