I'm glad that Spen, dad and I manage to celebrate Ma's birthday as soon as we caught the Unsub. People find it that I'm being prude of not having sex to someone else. It's just that... Reid stared at Novilene's huge portion of her dinner food. It contains fried rice with eggs, spinach, sweetcorn and sweet and sour chicken. He couldn't believe his girlfriend could finish 2 boxes of it. JJ and Elle looked speechless seeing it.

"Lenny..." Reid gulped and not knowing what to say. "Don't you think it's a bit too much?" He asks her worriedly.

"How on earth you didn't get fat, Cruz?" JJ questioned her and couldn't believe she finished 2 lunch boxes.

"I have a high metabolism and didn't gain weight that much." Novilene answered and drinking her water. "No matter how much I eat, I always work out."

"How you manage to stay fit... it's quite impossible." She sighs heavily and Novilene smiled cheekily.

"Anything is impossible."

"Except the fact you're a former of that job." Reid reminded her and she stared at him with a clueless expression then it hits her.

"Huh? I never thought about that." Novilene laughs nervously and finished her last drink of water.

"You're so smart and at the same time... can be clueless sometimes." Ellle commented.

"Doesn't anybody ever go home?" Gideon asks seeing them. "You need to change your eating habits, Mulan."

"We both know that I can't do that, dad." She scoffs. "You know what will happen if I change my eating habits."

"Of course." He sighs and remembering one-time Novilene passed out because of her metabolism problem.

"Why, what happened?" Elle asks them curiously.

"When I was 12 years old, mom and dad decided that I should stop eating too much food." Novilene told them her story. "I cut my huge portion to half and at the day of the sports event, I passed out during obstacle race."

"Yikes." JJ cringed and imagining Novilene was being embarrassed in front of everyone.

"It was a nightmare for me and I went silent on them for 3 weeks because they wouldn't listen." She glared at her father lightly while he smiled sheepishly. "They know what's best for me despite I can take care of myself."

Gideon shakes his head and denying the fact she can take care of herself. "Tell that to Maricar." He informed her and she flinches of being caught by him. "I thought so. You usually go home early, what happened?"

"Ma went to Singapore with Jay and his girlfriend, Cheryl. Kevin on the other hand, he's staying overnight one of his friends." Novilene explained. "I told him to text me anything if he needs me or on his way home."

"Wow, no need to become a mother hen mode, Cruz." JJ teases the young woman. "Wait, is it that case that you were angry about your Uncle secretly dating?"
