Chapter 43 Recovery

I'm finally free from my past. No one is chasing me from my past experience. All I have to face is my present and future.

The weight of my shoulders is been lifted ever since I told Lia about her past. However, I'm still trying to reconnect my long lost twin sister, Angelique.

Angelique or should I say Octavia didn't acknowledge my family and I are related to her. She's still blaming me for killing her family. To be honest? I didn't even know she is alive instead of dead. None of us didn't know about it and it's completely mysterious about her being alive.

We tried 5 times to do a DNA test to my dad and Octavia. Wanting to know if she's really our Angelique or not. The results are positive, she's our Angelique. Octavia didn't accept the fact she's part of our family. It deeply hurt us but we give her a space to accept the reality.

None of the BAU or NCIS team find out that I'm pregnant and decided to keep it a secret. Spen and I are going to tell them once I finished checking up my appointment of my unborn child. I'm happy but at the same time... scared of becoming a mother. Deep inside of my heart, Spen and I are going to be great parents. ~Novilene Cruz

She's The One

Reid gasped and immediately sits up straight. It's been 2 weeks that they accomplish the mission and couldn't forget how Turner tortured him. Turner shows no mercy but to beat him up so badly for changing Novilene to become a better person.

"Lenny?" Reid called her in a scared tone as he couldn't feel her body right next to him. He immediately wears his glasses and turning the lights on, she's disappeared.

Just when Reid is about to get off the bed. "Spen?" He looks up to see Novilene comes out from their bathroom with a worried look on her face. "Nightmares?" She asks him worriedly and sits down right next to him.

"I-I... yeah..." Reid nodded his head weakly. "I couldn't stop thinking about it."

"I see..." She nodded her head in understanding and having eidetic memory could be a curse as well. "The baby decided it's fun to make mommy suffer so I had morning sickness." Trying to lighten up their mood.

"I can't believe our child is growing in their..." Reid places his hand on Novilene's stomach. "Daddy and mommy can't wait to see you."

"Girl or boy... doesn't matter as long as our baby is healthy." She spoke up softly and glancing at the clock saying 2:30 in the morning. "Let's go back to sleep... I'll call Noelle and Zack to take our job for us temporarily."

"Lenny I can-"

"Spen, no." She spoke up in a stern tone. "Ever since we finished that mission. You distance yourself away from us." Novilene held her finger up to let her finish. "The team, including myself,  are worried about you."

"You don't understand what he'd done to me!" He raises his voice and stands up as Novilene followed as well.

"Explain it to me then!" She exclaimed and narrowing her gaze at him. "I give you some space and time before telling me... how am I suppose to help you if you're closing yourself?"

Reid didn't say anything and Novilene sighs sadly. "You can sleep here... I'll be sleeping at the roof." She walks out of the bedroom.

He slumped down on the bed and clutching his head lightly. It's their first fight between himself and Novilene when they usually understand each other. This time, things get complicated of what Turner did to Reid.

"You want me to what?" Noelle asks Novilene through her phone with a disbelief look on her face. "Have you lost your god damn mind? You know why I can't step in your work, Novilene."
