Major feels warning ⚠️ Also this is really long. Then again, when is there ever a lost memories imagine of mine not sad and long?? Idek, anyways enjoy :)

Hours had gone by, and Jacob and you had spent the whole day with each other. You both laughed and reminisced about old memories. He had invited you back to apartment for a glass of wine and a pizza.

You hesitated at first, of course, to go back to the same apartment you spent years of your life in. You worried it would trigger something in you and you would end up making a mistake. But, after a bit of struggling to overcome your reluctance, you agreed.

Now, you sat with him at the same kitchen table you spent countless nights having dinner with him at. You had previously had a glass of wine and played a few rounds of go fish with him, laughing up a storm.

"And then remember that time," Jacob laughed, clutching his glass, "When we tried snowboarding the first time, and I was trying to show off to you and-"

"Then you fell and broke your wrist?" You finished, giggling endlessly.

Jacob nodded as you both laughed at the memory. "And it was my right hand so I couldn't do basically anything by myself for nearly two months."

You nodded before biting your lip, stifling the rest of the giggles you wanted to let out. You looked up, your gaze falling over Jacob. He looked up from his glass, his eyes meeting yours.

A wave of emotions overcame you as you stared into his hazel eyes. You felt somewhat regretful for leaving him years ago. But you also knew it was the right thing to do. The relationship was toxic and you both knew that fully well.

"Well, I should probably get going." You sighed, looking back down at the glass. Jacob tried to hide his disappointment, not wanting you to go.

You looked up, this time your eyes falling over his lips. You couldn't help but think that they looked plump and perfect, and suddenly you had the overwhelming urge to kiss them. Your brain battled with your heart.

You brain knew that by putting your lips on his, it would open up the same door you had such a hard time closing up in the past. Your heart was telling you to kiss him, that he was all you ever wanted, and there was no denying that it was true. As much as you told yourself that you'd moved on and didn't want him back, deep down you always knew you would never stop loving him.

While you battled with yourself mentally, the decision was suddenly made up for you by Jacob's head leaning into yours. His lips pressed into yours delicately. You both immediately melted into the feeling, it taking you back to a time when things were simpler, when they were better. Back when you two were together with no problem. Back when life was perfect.

As much as you wanted to stop and make the rational decision to leave his apartment and go back to living your own life without him, you couldn't. You couldn't bring yourself to stop kissing Jacob.

And so, with your hands cupping his warm cheeks, he stood you up without taking his lips off of yours. As your mouths moved in sync, he gripped your waist and walked you in the direction of his bedroom. You knew where this was leading, and you knew you should stop, but you couldn't. You were stuck, kissing your ex boyfriend in a frenzy of pent up emotions and passion.

As your back pressed up against the door to the bedroom that you had shared with him all those years, you began to panic. Maybe this wasn't the right choice.
