First day of school

School would be starting the next day and I was not happy. The past three weeks flew by and everyone was dreading the new school year. Mrs. Reda called for another meeting and within seconds I found myself seated besides Tyson on the couch. I sighed and leaned my head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around my waist. We have been spending a lot of time together and I couldn't be happier. I got to know him very well. He told me a lot about his past but not what got him into Juvie. I wanted to know what it was but I also didn't want to push him. He'd tell me. Eventually. I thought to myself.

But, I could not complain as I didn't tell him how the girls and I ended up in Juvie. We only spoke about ourselves and our families. We refused to hit such a sensitive topic.

I had spoken to the girls about Tyson and how he asked me about our past. They refused to let me say anything. They wanted it to stay as much as a secret as I did. Despite my situation, Willow had informed us about a date with Matthew. It took place the Saturday before. Greta and I were in complete shock but insisted on helping her with the date. We were confused as to why she agreed and once Willow explained that it happened just after we had spent the day watching movies together. She said they bonded since then and she got to know a different side of his goofy exterior.

Greta said she understood but Willow and I were still sceptical about her two week relationship with Jackson. We figured Greta had feelings for Neil but her heart led to Jackson. He was a nice guy but something about him seemed awfully familiar. Willow agreed with me but we kept it to ourselves. We didn't want to worry Greta. She was happy again but her smiles never did reach her eyes like how it did with Neil.

My eyes closed as I took a deep breath and inhaled Tyson's rich cologne. Mrs. Reda stood before us with a smile on her face. "Hello my wonderful children, I am happy to tell you that tomorrow is the first day of school. And as promised, will be receiving your car keys and cellphones." A smile stretched onto my face. "Once you get back to your room, the keys will be on the nightstand. You will be able to look for your cars, as they are just outside."

Someone gasped loudly and a little cheer was heard. The elderly woman smiled. "With such needs of transportation, I realized that your cellphones wouldn't be coming in on time due to the model being new. But I managed to pull some strings with the owner as we are old friends." Snapping her fingers, three men came in holding boxes. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to your very own and much improved cellphones." My eyes widened as she opened a box and pulled out the new iPhone X.

Loud gasps filled the room and many people were too shocked to move. "You are my children after all, and I would adopt each and every one of you in a heartbeat." She smiled before placing the phone back into the box. "I had already programmed for each phone to have my number along with all of yours in it. You may add four extra numbers but they need to be passed by me first and I will be doing background checks on these numbers and people you wish to add. If the Juvenile Center heard that you adding a number that belonged to someone of your past, they would have me send you back to them. So please, take into consideration of who to add. One wrong number could put you back in Juvie."

Mrs. Reda clapped her hands. "With that being said, let's begin. When I call your name, I will hand you your new iPhone."

The very next day I had jumped out of bed to the sound of an alarm blasting through the speakers. My legs carried me out of the room and towards the living room. The girls were right behind me as we looked around to see everyone dashing down the stairs in a hurry. Mrs. Reda stood at the bottom of the stairs with a smile on her face. "Good morning!" She chirped as the alarm stopped. I groaned. It was six in the morning. "School begins at nine and I expect all you to be out the door by eight thirty. Your lunches are in the dinning hall so, grab the one with your name on it. Breakfast is out as well."
