"Bye Mel!" Rebecca waved as we left Math class. I waved back and made my way down the busy hall. It was a Friday and it had been a week since Rebecca had given me the invitation to her party. Though we were all excited about it, the boys found out about our little game and hadn't spoken to us since. They refused to eat lunch with us and sat with Jackson and his friends. I knew who Jackson's friends were. They were the stupid high school players and jocks. Boys who sleep around with girls for amusement and it disgusted me that Tyson would go to such lengths and sit with them.

While at lunch Greta and Willow spoke to me about the labels we hold and for some odd reason people are calling us popular due to my friendship with Rebecca. I honestly could not care less and couldn't believe that these boring high school students had time to make labels. I was in Juvie for gods sake and yet, once I stepped foot into a high school and became friends with a nice person I was considered popular. Made absolutely no sense to me. Willow made a joke about it. She said the last time we were popular bad things happened to us and frankly that scared me. I was so certain that something bad would happen to us.

Greta told me not to worry and to view it as a confidence boost, but I wasn't able to. It was a negative thing. I had finished my last class that day when I received a text message from both Willow and Greta. Greta was getting a ride home from Jackson while Matthew planned a date for Willow, which left me to drive Neil and Tyson home. After not speaking to them for a week I was not prepared for it.

As I reached my locker and packed my books, my legs carried me to the parking lot where the two boys were waiting. Pulling out my keys, I pointed it towards the car allowing the engine to roar. The two jumped back in fright as I chuckled lightly. "Come on boys, let's go."

"Not funny." Neil grumbled as he hopped into the back seat.

"Oh, yes it was." I replied and threw my schoolbag in the back seat besides him. Within seconds we were on the road and I hadn't said a word to Tyson. We refused to look at each other. I was very mad at him and he was pissed off at me.

Deciding to put my mind else where, I looked at the rearview mirror to see if Neil wanted to have a conversation but his head was against the window and his eyes were shut. He had been awfully quiet that day and though wasn't speaking to us, we did have a class together. Jackson and Greta were in it. "Hey Neil?" I asked in a soft voice as we reached a red light.

Neil hummed in response as his beautiful blue eyes were filled with sadness and disappointment when he looked at me. His body structure was slumped and he looked so heart broken. I had a good feeling of what it was about but did not want to jump to conclusions.

"Are you alright? You've been—uh, I mean seem quieter than usual."

Neil sighed as he ran a hand threw his white hair. "Yeah, I'm alright." He mumbled as I drove down the high way.

"Are you sure? Because you always talk to me."

     "Nothings wrong."

     "Are yo—"

"Yes!" Neil shouted which made Tyson freeze. I continued to drive as the broken boy sighed once more. "Yes, sorry. Nothing's wrong. Just—Just let it go, alright?"

I gazed at him once more. Tears pooled his eyes and it broke my heart but I had to let him be. He would come to me when he needed too. "Okay." When we finally reached the Foster Home, Neil jumped out of the car in seconds. My eyes followed his retreating figure as he slammed the garage door shut. "Somethings up with him." I said to Tyson. "I think it has something to do with Greta."
