The fifteen of us hopped out of the van and were greeted by a view of the city. By the looks of it, we were at the top of a mountain. The once beautiful blue sky turned into an orange red sunset. The buildings were tall as the sun's rays shined threw them. I could get used to the view. Someone tapped my shoulder. Turning around, I come face to face with the foster home we were stationed at. "What the actual hell!" I shout as my hand covers my mouth. "This is her idea of a little home?"
"I'm scared to know what her idea of a big home is." Greta muttered besides me as Willow nodded in agreement.
"It's a god damn mansion!" I shout while pointing to the building before us. Clearly I wasn't the only one who was shocked at her home. The front doors were big and brown with glass windows covering most of it. The bricks were a light grey as the root was a dark grey. Four garages with dark wooden fronts greeted up. Since the suns as setting, the outside lights were on as it made the home look beautiful.
"I see you like it!" Mrs. Reda chirped as she opened her front doors. "And yes, it is a 'god damn mansion'" She said using air quotes. A slight blush covered my cheeks as everyone chuckled at her use of words. "Now if you all would follow me, I would like to show you where you all will be sleeping." She then turned on her heels leaving everyone outside.
Slowly all a hundred or so, of us made our way inside her huge home. I was still in shock. My lips parted as I silently gasped at the interior of the home. Everything was white. The floors, walls and this was just the entrance. We made out way towards the front stairs so that we were facing Mrs. Reda, who surprisingly stood at the top. The thought of exploring this big home tomorrow.
Looking at the stairs, they were beautiful and original, something I had never seen before. Red carpeting lined the middle part of the stairs as gold railings shone towards us.
"If this doesn't scream 'I'm rich' then I don't know what does." Willow lowly whistled besides me as she eyes the stair case as well.
"Okay dears!" Mrs. Reda called out. People's conversations died down as everyone stared towards the elderly woman before us. "As you may already know there are a lot of you. A total of one hundred and twenty to be exact, but no worried there is room for each and every one of you." I'm sorry but what? "I have a total of ninety bedroom, which means you will be sharing a room. Two people per room."
