The bright lights of the hospital room woke me up. A grain left my lips. Blinking a few times, my eyes drifted around the room. My doctor stood above me as he adjusted my I.V cord. A clipboard in hand. Looking down a me, a light smile spread across his lips. "Well, someone's awake. How are you feeling?" He rested in a seat besides my bed.

"Alright, I guess." Moving up on the bed, a sting of pain shot threw my chest. Looking down a tub stuck out of me. "Um..."

The doctor sighed as he rested me back down on the bed. "While you were out, we did an X-ray. You had a few more pieces of glass in you chest. Good news is that the operation went well and we managed to remove the last bit of the glass. You were very lucky. It seemed that pieces were still sticking at your heart."

I nodded my head. "Alright, what's the bad news?" The doctor raised a brow. "What? You're a doctor. There's never just good news." My doctor chuckled.

"Well, since you figured me out. There is bad news." Pulling his clipboard to his lap, he sent me a reassuring smile. "You need to remain in the hospital for another five days. Just to monitor you and finalize everything before you are ready to leave."

"Okay. What final adjustments are there?"

My doctor waved away my question. "Don't worry abut it. It's just to make sure you are fully healed and you don't get an infection due to the heart surgery. We'll mainly check you breathing. Go over shoulder and arm movements and once you passed those tests you would be free to go." I nodded my head. "Of course, once you leave you will need to come back. Regular checkup will be needed. Once or twice a week at least. We informed  Mrs. Reda and your parents about this. You guardian took it upon herself to drive you to these appointments."

     "Alright."

The doctor stood. "Get some rest. You'll be here a while." He joked.

"Thanks doc. I think this was best news ever." I smirked as I rested my head against the terrible hospital pillow.

     "Why is that?"

"I don't need to go to school. Works for me." I chuckled as I closed my eyes. "I have a test on Monday and an oral on Wednesday. You just saved me."

I heard my doctor chuckle. "Then, you are very welcome, Miss Roma." With that, he stepped out of the room and closed the door.

My eyes slowly opened. An irritating tapping noise was heard. I scrunched my eyebrows together and drifted towards the side of my bed. His dark brown eyes were piercing into mine as his feet were lifted on my bed. His fingered tapped on the arm rest. The devil himself smirked at me as he watched me sleep. He looked so much like Valentino it scared me.

"Looks like the little bitch is finally awake." Jackson cooed as he removed his combat-boots from my bed. He ran a furious hand threw his dark brown curls. His eyes burned into mine. I saw the resemblance to Valentino. Especially the eyes. Those dark brown eyes that I loved to look at while Valentino would stare at me. A smirk always on lips.

"What do you want Jack?" I used his old nickname. One that would confirm everything. That I knew who he really was.

The dangerous boy watched me. "I see you remembered." Amusement clear in his eyes as he chuckled darkly and leaned forward. His forearms rested on his thighs. Face closer to mine. Stupid smirk grew at the name. "About damn time."

"What do want Jack?" I repeated while gritting my teeth.

Amusement lingered in his eyes, he leaned closer. "Revenge."
