"Well, I'm sure you are familiar with the O'Conner Twins being the biggest bank robbers and killers in our group." Tyson took a swing of his beer.
I nodded my head. "Hensing why I was fangirling over them when we first met."
Tyson chuckled. "Yeah, you scared the crap out of me that day."
My eyes rolled. "Yes, okay moving on." I urged.
"Eager are we?" I send him a glare. "Okay, okay. Jeez. Never a good time to joke."
"Tyson!" I giggled.
"Well, two weeks after my mom died, I went on my first task without my dad and Brian told me that he would call for backup as this was a different type of task. Something about practicing. I wasn't sure. Anyways, we got to this bank and we went to the back of the building to be greeted by the O'Conner twins." Tyson smirked at the memory and shook his head. "Those two were quite a handful, let me tell you that." Chugging down some beer, he pulled it away. I smiled lightly. "The three of us created an immediate bond and became friends. I'm not going to lie. I was surprised when the twins killed five security guards each, all being head shots. I, on the other hand, refused to touch a gun since my dad died. After the task was a success, we went back to the headquarters and dumped all the money on the table." I rolled my eyes at the way he said that word. We weren't good people but we were trying to be. "We each took a sum of money and were told to go our separate ways. Never speak about it ever again but we knew that wasn't the case. After Brian left the room the three of us hung out at my penthouse and watched movies. You know about the twins being orphans right?"
I nodded my head as I recall the conversation I held with Neil. "Good, then after that mission the twins lived with me for six months. It was a blast. We were practically brothers. For some stupid reason we wanted to rob the same bank we did when we first met but without Brian's help. That was a mistake. The whole idea was a trap waiting to happen."
"Don't tell me that's how you all ended up in Juvie." I smirked as Tyson shushed me.
"I'm telling a story!" He chuckled. "But yes, in fact it was."
"Dumb." I smirked.
Waving me off, he continued. His blue eyes filled with excitement and his smile grew. "Once we got caught, Brian came to visit me a couple of times and offered to help break me out. But I couldn't leave the boys. It felt wrong. Instead, I let him take over until I got out. He would visit me every day but soon the job caught up to him and every day turned into three times a week, to once a week, to a month..." Tyson shook his head. "Brian knew I was fine and I knew he was busy with the gang but it led to the point where he would only visit me on holidays or my birthday and my parent's death days."
"Wow."
Nodding his head, he placed the beer in the garbage and looked at me. "How about you? What's your story?"
My eyes widened. I hadn't spoke to him about me getting in. The girls promised me to keep it a secret and I know that Willow still hadn't told Matthew. Greta would constantly avoid the topic when Jackson would bring it up. "Umm..." As if saved by the bell, the elevator doors opened and a man's voice was heard throughout the penthouse.
"Tyson? Are you here!" Realization crossed Tyson's face as he sprinted out of the kitchen and into the living room.
Grabbing my water bottle, I followed him and was met with a short round man with grey hair. "Brian" Tyson said barley above a whisper. The two stared at each other. How time treated one another. Looking at Brian, I could easily say that he was a couple of inches taller than me. His dark blue eyes scanned over Tyson and soon drew onto me as he narrowed them. Before Brian could say anything, Tyson ran up to him and engulfed him into a hug. Tyson clearly stood taller than him as Brian reached Tyson's chin.
