Monday's were disgusting. They always were. But that day was a typical bad day. The sun was gone, dark clouds filled the sky and rain came pouring down. I knew it was going to be a bad day. I felt it in my bones. That day would be the first day of Tyson and I being an official couple at school. It shouldn't have bothered me but it did. I was extremely nervous.
Sighing loudly, I finished my second bowl of cereal and placed it in the dishwasher. The rest of the Juvie kids were either sitting by the breakfast bar, which was where I was or eating in the living room watching television. I bit my bottom lip and began to think about school and how it was bound to be a terrible day.
"Melody." One of the girls said.
I ignored her and continued to think.
"Melody." One of the guys called.
I ignored him as well.
"Melody!" I snapped my head up to see everyone at the breakfast bar looking at me with worried eyes. "Are you okay?" The girl from before asked. "You seem a bit off."
"Yeah Lou. Why wouldn't I be?" I responded showing them a cheeky smile as I tried to hide my worry.
"You seem a bit off." The guy from before joined in as he shoved his giant cereal spoon into his mouth.
"Yes, Declan. I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?"
The two looked at each other while the rest remained silent. "You're thinking about your relationship with Tyson, aren't you?" Lou raised a thick brown eyebrow. "And what might happen today at school?"
"What? No! Why would I be thinking of that?" I faked laughed as I scratched the back of my neck.
"We know that's the problem, Mel. You haven't been yourself since yesterday after you thought it all over." Declan said while swallowing down the rest of his cereal.
Biting the corner of my bottom lip, I nodded my head and leaned on the counter. Resting my elbows on it, I placed my face in my hands. "What do I do? What would happen? Do you think people will judge? Make a big scene about it like posting it on Instagram or something? I don't even know why I'm worrying about this. It's no one's business anyways."
"Exactly, it's no one's business. Only your own." Lou reassured me.
"And everyone in this house." Declan joined, while the rest nodded their heads or chuckled lightly.
Chuckling, I removed my face from my hands. "You guys kill me. But thank you." Sucking in a breath, I nodded my head. "And, yeah, everyone at school could suck it for all I care. As long as they don't start asking weird questions, I'm fine."
"Plus, we're here for you. Incase you need back up." Declan winked at me.
Rolling my eyes at him, Lou and I chuckled. "No one will be dying today!" Lou said as she giggled once more.
Declan shrugged his shoulders as he extended his fist to me. "But we got your back." The rest nodded their heads in agreement as I knocked my fist against his.
***After my little outburst at breakfast, many other Juvie kids came to reassure me about school that day. The girls reminded me that it was my relationship and no one else. I climbed out of the back seat of our orange Lamborghini while Greta shut the engine. The rain had stopped but the dark clouds were out. They hovered around us causing me to tense up.
Slamming the car door behind me, I faced Greta who threw me the car keys. I was the only one responsible of not losing the keys. Catching them with ease, I shoved them into my schoolbag and head towards the familiar lime Lamborghini that was parked across of us. Willow skipped over to Matthew who was getting out of the passenger's seat. Neil pushed the driver's seat door open as he quickly slammed it. He leaned against the car in annoyance as he watched Jackson march over to Greta.
Tyson soon emerged from the back seat. He looked amazing as ever in his school uniform. His was wearing a white top which hugged his upper body perfectly and allowed his arms muscles to look big, making his tattoos shine. A loose navy blue tie hung around his neck as he ran his hand threw his hair. Mrs. Reda scowled all the boys on the first week of classes when she heard about none of them wearing their ties. They were all threatened to be sent back to Juvie if they refused to wear it for the remainder of the school year.
Noticing my stares, he smirked and waved me over. Without a second thought, I quickly walked toward him as he had his arms open for me. Pulling me into a nice big bear hug, I felt a sense of relaxation. "Hi." My voice sounded muffled as I spoke into his chest.
"Hey babe." Tyson spoke into my hair and kissed the top of my head. Humming at his response, we pulled away to find that the others left us and made their way towards the front doors.
Rolling my eyes, I grabbed Tyson by the hand and dragged him towards our friends. "Come on love birds! School awaits us!" Neil yelled as we made our way towards the doors.
Neil held the door open for us. "Yeah, yeah." Tyson said, slapping Neil on the chest which made him take in some air.
"You know, I don't believe you guys are a couple. After all we haven't seen you kiss." Greta teased.
Rolling my eyes, I walked up to her and slapped her gently behind the head causing her to wince. "Idiot."
"That's not nice!" Greta barked as she leaned into Jackson. Shooting her a glare, she laughed at me as she wasn't fazed. Instead, she blew me kiss and I did the same as we both laughed.
"So, are we going to see you guys kiss or not?" Matthew urged us. His arms was wrapped around Willows waist, resting his head on the top of hers. Raising an eyebrow, I faced Tyson to await his reaction. He didn't hesitate as he faced me and planted a lingering kiss on my lips. Responding immediately, I kissed back and deepened the kiss. What was supposed to be a little peck on the lips, turned into something heated and good. I craved him and wanted more. He clearly wanted the same as his arms snatched around my waist and pulled me closer.
Just as my mind was drifting, the realization that we were in school busted through my mind. My eye shot open as I pulled away from Tyson. Tyson seemed to have remembered also as we faced our friends. We were ready to tell them off, only to be met with hundreds of eyes watching us intensely with a shock impression on their faces. Our friends no where to be seen.
"Those fucking bitches." I whispered to Tyson as everyone stared.
"They're dead right?" Tyson questioned as we made our way down the hallway.
"Oh, big time." I knew that day would be a shitty day but I started it off with a bang.
