*~Omniscient~*

Frost was in a state of shock, seeing his former boss after an entire year, looking and acting like a completely different person. Was he being serious? Or was this all just an act to get back in Alex's good graces? Those were a few questions that were circling around in Frost's head as he drove the girls back to the penthouse.

How was he going to walk around and act like everything is normal, when he's holding on to such a huge secret? Alex had a right to know that Joker was back and living at her dad's house, but it wasn't his secret to tell. Sure, his loyalty belonged to Alex now, but at the same time...he couldn't bring himself to break his promise to Joker. He just couldn't.

"Babe? Is everything alright? You seem...out of it." Blue asked, as soon as they got back to the house. Alex had retired to her room for the night, working on homework after putting Halo to sleep, leaving Blue and Frost downstairs alone.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He lied, looking away from her. He never had a reason to lie to her and he didn't like the feeling at all, especially since their relationship is built around love and honesty. Blue knew he was lying, which made her furrow her eyebrows as she stared at him.

"Look at me." He slightly turned his head, barely looking her in the eyes. "What aren't you telling me?" He looked towards the stairs, making sure there was no sign of Alex, before he grabbed her hand and pulled her out onto the balcony.

"If I tell you this, you have to promise me that you won't tell Alex." He said.

"Is what you're about to tell me life threatening in any way? Like...is she and Halo in any type of serious danger?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"No, nothing like that."

"Oh okay, then I promise I won't say a thing." He sighed and grabbed both sides of her face, kissing her lips, pressing his forehead against hers.

"Joker's back." He told her. Her eyes widened as she took a step back, trying to see if he was kidding or not. "Don't look at me like that."

"Like what?" She questioned, rubbing her ears. "Because it sounded like you just said that Joker is back."

"That's exactly what I said, Harper."

"How do you know this, Jonny?"

"I saw him earlier today, at Mr. Wayne's house. Apparently he's been been in Arkham for the past six months and he's...sane again." He said.

"Sane? As in...normal?" She asked, trying to fully comprehend what was being said to her. She was still in shock to know that he was back and living at her best friend's dad's house, but why was it such a big secret?

"That is what sane means, honey."

"Shut up, Frost! I'm just trying to wrap my head around this entire situation." She turned away from him and started pacing, looking out at the view before her. "So...he's back and what? He thinks he can just pick back up where he and Alex left off? He broke her heart and left her alone with his baby!"

"I told you that he didn't have a choice. Harley injected her with something and if he wouldn't have left with her, she would've killed her and the baby." He said. "Believe me, I was upset too about what J did, but after he explained why he did it...I understood completely."

"I mean...I understand, I just...don't understand."

"Make it make sense."

"You know what I mean, babe!" She whined, making Frost chuckle. He reached up and ran his fingers through her now blonde hair, shaking his head as he looked back down at her.

"I miss your blue hair." He told her.

"You do? I thought you liked the blonde hair."

"I do, but I like the blue hair more. It's weird to call you blue when you have blonde hair."

"But you don't call me Blue, silly. You call me Harper, which you really should not do, or you call me babe." She smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck. He lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist, knowing exactly what was about to go down between the two. "But what are we going to do about Alex? I feel bad keeping this secret from her."

"You and me both, but hopefully her dad will tell her soon. If not...she's going to be in for a big surprise." He said, placing soft kisses on her neck.

"This isn't going to end well." She groaned, throwing her head back.

"No it's not, but let's not worried about that right now. Instead...let's worry about what's about to go down between us." She let out a squealing laugh, as they started making out, while he carried her into their bedroom. At the rate their going, they'll be next in line to have kids, even though neither one of them is ready for kids just yet. In the meantime...their practice conceptions are about to be lit.
