"What the hell do you think you're doing? How did you get out of your room and where the hell did you get this suit?" Bruce snapped at me. Honestly, I had it coming, but I was just too happy to care about anything at the moment. Moments ago, before the perfectly good moment was ruined, I had the love of my life in my arms again and danced with her. Not only did she not recognize me, but she was still physically attracted to me which only meant that I had high chances of getting her back. Maybe being Jack again wouldn't be a bad thing after all. "Earth to, Joker! I know you hear me!"

"Isn't she the most beautiful creature you've ever seen?" I grinned.

"I'm not even going to dignify that with a response. How did you get out of your room?" He asked again.

"Dr. Young doesn't close the door all the way when she leaves, giving me the advantage to come and go as I please. Oh, and to answer your other question...I got this suit from your closet. Looks good on me, doesn't it?"

"Joker, what if Alex would've recognized you? Then what? All your hard work and progress would be for nothing!"

"I highly disagree, Bruce. I'm doing all of this for her and once she finds out, because let's face it...she will find out, she'll understand that we kept this secret from her for a reason." I stated. "But you have nothing to worry about. She hardly recognized me, even though she kept saying I looked familiar. She was trying to pinpoint how she knows me, but the light bulb hasn't went off yet."

"You should've ran this by me first!" He growled.

"We both know you wouldn't have let me go and I wanted to see Alex and Halo, before getting locked back in here. I kept a low profile and nobody knows who I am, so what's the problem?" I questioned.

"The problem is that you think you can waltz around my house, knowing that I don't fully trust you yet, and invite yourself to an event that we both know you have no business being at! On top of that, you damn near expose yourself to Alexandria and if she finds out what's going on before I have the chance to tell her..." He began, but I cut him off.

"You should've already told her, Batsy! She deserves to know the truth before she finds out from somebody else." I told him. He glared at me and placed his hands on his hips, looking like the crime fighting bastard that he was.

"Who else knows that you're here?"

"Huh?"

"You heard me, Joker! Who else knows about our arrangement?" He asked through gritted teeth, bawling up his fist. His face showed no signs of anger, let alone any other emotions, but I could tell that he was pissed off. He had no reason to me, but I'm sure he thought otherwise.

"Nobody, Bruce. Relax...you're so...intense." I chuckled. I might be sane and back to my old self, but the sense of humor of "Joker" was still deep down inside of me. "So can I get back to this party or am I back on lock down?" I wanted to spend a little more time with Alex, even though she was here with someone else. I could care less about that boy though, because if he knew what was good for him...he'd stay far away from my queen or the the old me is going to come back out to play.

"I think it'll be best if you just stay in here. You've already made a mess of things and I'm pretty sure that I'll have to pay that half a million dollars that you bid to dance with Alex. What the hell were you thinking?" He huffed.

"You know I'm good for it, Bruce. All the banks and jewelry stores I robbed throughout the years. Half a million really ain't nothing, And the real question is what the hell were those other guys thinking? Alex was worth way more than a couple thousands dollars, and if I'm being honest...she's worth way more than half a million."

"I can't do this with you right now." He turned away from me, placing his hands on his head, turning back towards me. "One hour. I'll allow you an hour of freedom to spend some time with Alex and maybe sneak a few minutes alone with Halo, but after that...you're on lock down until I say otherwise. Understand?"

"Yes father, I understand." I snickered. He shook his head and lead the way out of the room, as we made our way back downstairs to where the party was. I noticed that Alex was slow dancing with some blonde haired pretty boy, while Frost and his girlfriend slow danced next to them. Frost looked my way and I made a small gesture, telling him to come talk to me so I could get some information on this guy. He whispered something to his girlfriend and headed my way, as I turned and stepped out of sight.

"What the hell are you doing, J?" He asked me.

"Bruce let me our for an hour and I want to spend it with Alex, but she's a little preoccupied at the moment. Who's that guy she's dancing with?" I asked.

"That's Victor Zsasz kid, Kane. He and Alex dated a few years back, before he was thrown in Blackgate for breaking and entering and petty theft. He's been hanging around Alex for the longest, trying to rekindle what they once had, and on top of that...he is trying to play the daddy role in Halo's life." That made me angry as I bawled up my fist, seeing that familiar wave of color flash before my eyes. No, no, no! I thought to myself. I worked too hard to become the person that I am now, and I refused to let my anger get the best of me.

"Can you separate them? Long enough for me to get Alex away and talk to her in private?" I asked him.

"I can't, but Harper can. Give me a minute and wait for my signal." He turned and walked off, walking over to his girlfriend and whispering something in her ear. She nodded and stumbled over to where Alex was, spilling her drink on Alex's date. I laughed a little, watching as she apologized to him, before offering to help clean him up. As soon as they walked off, Frost gave me a signal and I wasted no time, strolling over to where Alex was.

"Alex?" I spoke. She turned and faced me, instantly blushing as she carefully walked over to me. My God, she's beautiful.

"Hey...I thought you left." She said.

"Without saying goodbye? I would never." I said, grabbing her hand. "Let's go somewhere private and talk." She opened her mouth to talk, but I was already pulling her away from the party. Bruce only gave me an hour and I already wasted about ten minutes of my time, but best believe...I wasn't about to waste another minute.
