Kane made his way outside of Alex's penthouse, cursing himself for allowing Jack to piss him off the way he did. Every time he thought that he and Alex were finally getting back on track, something or someone gets in the way of their relationship, and he was sick of it. He didn't know what it was about Jack that got under his skin, but he couldn't stand him and he wanted him gone. Yeah, he might've been Halo's father, but he wasn't as active in her life as Kane was. He felt like he deserved the title of father, even though he wasn't the one that helped make her. In his eyes, he should've been the one, but in reality...he wasn't. Ramming his fist into the brick wall building, he grunted in pain, pulling his now bloody hand against his chest as he started throwing out profanities.
"Ouch...that look like it hurt." He heard someone say. Harley emerged from her hiding spot, approaching Kane, as he looked at her up and down. He knew exactly who she was, but what he didn't know was why she was associating with him. In her eyes, he should be a nobody, considering that he wasn't a villain like his father; but he was just the right person to reunite her with the love of her life. "Hey...aren't you Victor Zsasz's kid?"
"Why?" He questioned, giving her all the attitude he could muster up. Not only was he frustrated about what had occurred upstairs in Alex's penthouse, he was also in a great deal of pain and he didn't want to interact with anyone.
"You might want to answer the lady's question boy." He heard someone say, as he felt himself being shoved forward. He turned around, glaring at Deadshot, who held a gun in his hand as they stared each other down.
"What the hell do ya'll want? Did my dad send you both to summon me?"
"You're Alexandria Wayne's boyfriend, aren't ya?" Harley asked, looking him up and down. "You're a cutie." Deadshot glared at her, trying now to show how jealous he was, knowing that she was somewhat flirting with him.
"I'm not her boyfriend, I'm her ex." He grumbled.
"Even better." Deadshot smirked. "Let me ask you something, youngin. What would you do to win her back?" Kane pondered the question for a minute, taking a deep breath, as he looked at the both of them.
"I'd do just about anything, if I'm being honest." That made both Harley and Deadshot smile widely, as they looked at each other, knowing that they found a way to get exactly what they both wanted.
"Well...what would you say if I told you that we can get rid of that other guy, so that you two can be free to be together without anyone else coming in between ya'll?" Harley asked, cocking her head to the side. Kane furrowed his eyebrows, looking at the both of them as if they had lost their minds, but he'd be lying if he said that they didn't have his attention.
"How do you know that there's someone else involved?" He questioned.
"You don't just punch a brick wall like that, if there isn't another man involved." Deadshot stated. He sighed heavily, looking down at his bleeding knuckles.
"Look...help us, help you. You want the girl, we want the guy, and in the end...everyone is happy." Harley said. Of course she wasn't going to mention the part about killing Alex, only because they knew that he wouldn't agree to help them.
"I'm not sure how I can help you. He's always there, so it's not like I can get her alone without him being somewhere lurking in the shadows." As soon as he said that, something clicked in his mind. "Actually...there is something I can do, but you both have to ensure that Alex and the baby will be safe." Harley's face dropped at the sound of the word "baby" as Deadshot looked over at her, holding in his laughs that were oh so desperately wanting to come out.
"Baby?" She growled, bawling up her fist. She was told, by Joker himself, that Alex didn't have the baby. He told her that after she found out that he was gone, she miscarried and that made Harley happy. She wanted to be the only person with Joker's kid, but clearly he lied to her like he lied about everything else. If only she could be done with him and live a normal life, trying to become a mother to Lucy, instead of chasing a clown he gave no fucks about her.
"Yeah. Alex has a six month old daughter and I love that little girl to death, so not only do I want Alex to be safe...I want Halo to be safe as well." He said.
"You have our word, man. No harm with come to either one of them." Deadshot spoke up, assuring him that they would be fine. He wasn't lying either. He didn't plan on harming Alex or her baby. All he wanted to do was kill Batman and call it a day, but he also knew that Harley had other plans. Plans that he wanted no parts in, but was acting as if he was down with everything she wanted him to be down with.
"Good. So...what's the plan?" The trio headed towards a car that was waiting for them, as they all walked over and slid into the backseat. As soon as the car pulled off, Frost and Blue pulled up, only seeing the three climbing into the car and pulling off. They had no idea what they had planned, but they instantly knew that it was a red flag seeing Harley, Deadshot, and Kane all together. Something big was about to go down and none of them was going to see it coming.
