Halloween (LT-AU)

YA BOI'S BACK AND MY QUOTATION MARKS ARE WORKING AGAIN

Ya'll seemed to like the Live Together AU so I guess I'm doing that again now.

As it neared Halloween, the group had to find what they were doing for Halloween. Connor was going as Elmer from Newsies, Alana was going as Poison Ivy with Zoe as Harley Quinn, and Jared was going as Deadpool. But this left Evan to decide his costume.

"Hey Ev, you should be Specs and we can do a couples costume." Connor asked.

"Connor, I would l-love to but I d-don't even- don't even watch Newsies. I did once, but I didn't- didn't really get it."

"I know, but you don't need to know it. You just need to get into costume!" Connor said with a smile.

"Yeah, but isn't Specs really t-tall? I'm shorter than a tree st- tree stump, Connor. I bet I would fit in your papes b-bag." Evan questioned, knowing he was right and wouldn't end up in a couples costume with Connor.

"Well, what if you dressed up as Spiderman and you can do a pairs costume with your best friend!" Jared had been secretly wanting Evan to dress up as Spiderman, just for the fun of it.

"Who?" Evan asked, not knowing who the heck Jared was talking about."

"Evan... Hansen... are you telling me you've never seen a movie with Spiderman in it? Ya'know what, we'll finish this later. You still need a costume." Jared was absolutely baffled as to how Evan went 18 years without seeing a SINGLE Spiderman movie.

Zoe and Alana came into the room, noticing Evan still had no costume.

"Hey, what if we take Evan to the local Halloween store and find a costume for him there? It would be easy and fast, plus there are a TON of options. And, no offence, Evan is so small he would fit in any size they had. So if he finds an outfit he likes, they'll definitely have it in his size." Alana piped up. Evan started walking over to her, and stood next to Zoe.

"I'm with th-them. I've always loved the- loved the Halloween store an-anyways! I can get n-new lights for m-my room and- and everything."

Jared and Connor exchanged a 'I'm fine with it if you're fine with it' look, and nodded in approval.

So Evan, Zoe, and Alana all walked down to the pop-up Halloween store, and started sifting through costumes Evan might like. There was a small pile of rejects on the floor, consisting of a pizza slice, an emoji, a lego brick, a nurse, and this guy named Ben Platt.

"Oh... my gosh... Z-Zoe! I found one that- that would work g-reat!" Evan exclaimed. Zoe walked over to find Evan with a tree outfit in his hands.

"Oh my god, Connor and Jared are going to flip! Let's get it!"

"Wait what are we doing?" Alana asked, completely oblivious to the situation.

"You'll see soon, trust me. You'll love it." Zoe wrapped her arms around Alana's waist as they went to the check out stand.

Halloween still wasn't for a few days, but Evan managed to keep his outfit secret from his other friends, until Halloween. At around 8pm, they all dispersed into different rooms of the house to change into their costumes. They all counted down from three, then they ran into the living room to share their outfits.

Alana and Zoe were in a perfect Harlivy couples costume, Jared was decked out in a Deadpool bodysuit, Connor was stunning in his Newsies attire, and then there was Evan. In a tree outfit. The funny thing was, after Evan revealed his costume, Connor slid Jared $10. When Evan asked the boys about it, Connor simply said "I lost a bet... over whether you would dress up as a tree or not..."

"HA. KNEW IT! YOU LOOK AMAZING EV." Jared shouted.

"Did you guys really b-bet on whether- ther I would dress up- dress up as a t-tree? I can-can't believe you t-two sometimes. You're idi-idiots, but you're- you're my idiots."

Connor kissed his forehead and Jared started to snicker, knowing he was an idiot but not caring.

Not long after, the group went out to trick-or-treat and ended up with about a year and a halfs worth of candy. Gone in three days.
