Long story short Jeremy is invited to Michaels family reunion (They are dating OvO) but Jeremy doesn't know Filipino so lessons are given. Kind of. Not really. Help poor Jeremy. WELP LET'S GO

--------------------------------

(Michaels POV)

We're at school, and my ina texted me saying I had an extra invite for my family reunion, based on the fact that my little brother was sick and couldn't go. She said I could bring one person, girl or boy. Guess who I chose.

"Jeremy! I have an ask! Wait." Michael yelled to Jeremy from across the hallway.

"Dude, you've been spending too much time on Tumblr for your own good. Please say you meant question." Jeremy was concerned for the well being of Michael, he would spend nights locked in his room on Tumblr, doing nothing.

"Yes, I meant question. Anyway, my ina said I had an extra invite to my family reunion. Sam (his bro-bro) is sick, and probably won't be better in time to go. Wanna come? It would be a great chance to meet my family." Michael had a point.

"Sure, I mean I would have to ask my dad but I see no reason he would say no." Jeremy was beyond excited, until he realized something. "Wait, doesn't your family speak Filipino? I know few words, and they consist of mahal kita, mahal din kita, and pinya.(I love you, I love you too, pineapple)"

"I hadn't really thought of that... are you free after school for the next week?"

"Only if it's for Filipino lessons." Jeremy really wanted to make a good first impression on his boyf's family, really hoping to learn a little Filipino through the next week.

"That happens to be exactly what it's for! And if all else fails, Google Translate." Michael smiled a bit at the end, knowing Jeremy would need Translate. There's no way he could hold a conversation in Filipino in 4 days.

"Cool, I'll download translate and tell my dad I'm gonna be home late all week. And tell him why, hoping he doesn't question." Jeremy started downloading translate as he spoke, and planned on texting his dad at lunch.

"Ok, how does 2:30 in the Band Room work?" (WHOOPS FORGOT TO MENTION THEY'RE IN BAND JEREMY PLAYS SAXOPHONE AND MICHAELS ON PERCUSSION) Michael hoped it worked, the Band Room is a second home for them both.

"Sounds good, I'll bring slushies."

"I got sushi, and gummy bears. SHIT THE BELL, gotta go, mahal kita!"

"See you in the Band Room, mahal din kita!"

The two boys departed, heading to their separate homerooms. Michael laughing slightly, knowing how embarrassing it's going to be for Jeremy when he's talking to his relatives through Google Translate and having to explain to his family. This, this is going to be fun.

(Still Michaels POV)

It's the day of the reunion, and I'm driving to go pick up Jer. He had learned simple words and phrases, but unless he was talking about how to keep the pineapples from the pirates, he couldn't hold a conversation by any means. Jeremy had had translate previously downloaded on his phone, but if that died Michael was his translator. Fun.

Pulling up to Jeremy's house, I realised that he was on the porch, on the verge of tears.

"Yo, Jer-Bear, what's up?" Michael seemed genuinely concerned about his riend, he never cries.

"I c-can't hold a-a conversation with y-your f-family and I-I'm not going to m-make a good i-impression and y-your family i-isn't going t-to l-like me and they w-won't think I'm g-good enough for you-" Jeremy was utterly terrified that Michaels family wouldn't like him, he had been trying so hard to learn Filipino for the reunion but he hadn't learned enough. Michael, however, heard that and cut him off straight (haha) away.

"Hey, hey, look at me. My family loves you. They've seen pictures of you, and I already told them we would be using Google Translate. They totally understand, Jeremy. Don't worry, I hate seeing you like this." This was true, Michael hated seeing sad Jeremy. Sad Jeremy brings back sad memories, sad memories bring crying. Neither of them liked crying.

Jeremy slowly stood up, and Michael enveloped him in a hug. After a few seconds, they released and Jeremy got his bag as they walked over to the car. Jeremy had calmed down, and they drove to the reunion blasting Marley and laughing the whole way there and occasionally stopping for slushies, sushi for Michael and gummy bears for Jeremy.

It is now after the reunion, and everything went fine. Translate worked like a charm, and everyone loved Jeremy. Other than his minor freak-out, everything went smoothly and perfectly. Jeremy actually had Michael tell the story of the freak-out at the reunion, and they all thought it was pretty funny. What Jer didn't know, what that they had this happen before, but the other kid tried to learn Filipino. Apparently the first thing he said-on accident of course- was "Nice, to finally meet you, I fucked your grandson for years." when he meant to say "Nice to finally meet you, I've known your grandson for years." needless to say, he did not come over anymore.

"So what did you think of the reunion?" Michael asked

"It was cool, I love your family. They're all so nice!" Jeremy was honestly baffled that people could be so nice to someone they just met.

"My family is genuinely pretty nice. Especially to future family." Michael had something planned, something big.

"Future family?" Jeremy didn't know if Micha was joking, but he sure hoped he wasn't.

"Jeremy Middle name unknown Heere, I love you with all my heart. While we can't get married yet, I promise to marry you as soon as possibly planned, and to make sure you know this-" He held out a small box decorated with pac-man, mario, and many other characters. "A promise ring."

"Michael,-" Jeremy started tearing up, this was something he wanted for a long time, and was ecstatic for it finally happening.

"Michael, I would love that." Michael started grinning ear to ear, and slipped the ring on Jeremy's finger.

~LAST TIME SKIP I SWEAR~

3 years later, Jeremy and Michael had been happily married with a baby girl Brooke carried for them. They still lived in Red Bank, New Jersey. They were happy, and neither one of them wanted to let that go.
