~Jeremy's POV~

I was sitting at an old picnic table with his new stepbrother, Evan. He was a nervous wreck, but he was very fun to be around. Evan also wanted to bring his boyfriend, Conner.  Conner was the "edgy emo" stereotype, but he was nothing like what he showed. He was sweet, and had a soft side. They don't look like they would be together, but here they were. Couple of the year. Speaking of couples, where was Michael? Jeremy hadn't seen him in ages, and was starting to get worried. After a while, he shrugged it off and thought he just stayed home playing Apocalypse of the Damned. Again. We just continued our game of go-fish, and talked.

After a while of talking with each other, I had to go to the bathroom. I got up, walking to the park bathroom when I heard something that made my blood run cold.

"My name is Michael."

THUD

'Shit.'  I thought to myself. I ran to the source of the thud, and saw Michael, face down, passed out, with a tear-stained face, at the base of the tallest tree in the park. I quickly slid to his side, checking for a pulse and if he was breathing. I found a pulse, but he was not breathing. The pulse was slow, and seemed to only be slowing down every second.

I sprinted off to get Conner, knowing he had worked summer as a lifeguard, and had to learn CPR as part of training. I don't know if he would be to happy having to preform CPR on my Player 1, but he had to.

"CONNER!! GET YOUR SKINNY ASS OVER HEERE WE HAVE A PROBLEM!"

"Jesus, are you ok?"

"You know CPR, right?" I was pretty out of breath at this point, sprinting across the park.

"Yeah, why?"

"Follow me, fast."

"Can Ev Come?"

"Sure, but I don't advise it."

Conner and Evan had trouble keeping up with me as I ran, and I rarely run. Anyone who knows me knows something is wrong when I run. We eventually ended up where Mikey was, Conner and Evan were shocked, and Evan had to go sit down.

"Conner, I need you to preform CPR. He has a faint pulse, but he isn't breathing. Just until I can get an ambulance here." It was really hard not to cry, I need Mikey. More than he can ever know.

"Ok, I'll get him breathing while you call an ambulance. Any idea how long this will take?"

"Around 5 or 10 minutes."

"Ok. Go call, I got this." Conner bent down and felt for a pulse, finding a faint one, just like I had said. After he found it, he began CPR. Breath, pump 10 seconds. Breath, pump 10 second. Breath, pump 10 seconds. Check. Repeat.

As I ran to get my phone off the table to call 911, I heard a wheeze and what sounded like panicking. Then I remembered, Evan. He had tried this once before, failing. Seeing this probably triggered a flashback, and a panic attack. I decided to get an ambulance called, then go over and see if he was ok. 'Yeah, that will work.' I thought.

I called 911, and explained everything.

"Hello, yes this is J-Jeremy Heere, I'm a-at Candy P-Park, and my boyfriend tried to k-kill himself. P-Please hurry, we are at th-the west e-end. Th-thank you." I hung up.

"Conner, an ambulance is on it's way!"

"Ok, Michael's breathing but it's faint! How long?"

"5 minutes!"

I placed my phone in my cardigan pocket and hurried over to Evan. I found him curled up at the base of a different, much smaller tree. He was shaking badly, hyperventilating and had tears rolling down his face.

"I-Is Michael o-ok, J-Jeremy I-I'm so s-sorry I-I don't why I'm panickingandIshouldprobablystopandI'mreallysor-"

Evan was interrupted by Jeremy, enveloping his trembling body in a hug.

"Evan, Michael is ok. Conner is doing CPR, and an ambulance is on it's way. He's breathing, and will be fine. No need to panic. He's ok, you're ok, everything is ok."

Evan's trembling died down, but was still there. His breathing was under control, and he was still crying.

God, Jeremy has such a soothing voice. Evan thought to himself. Soon, he was fine and able to be left alone for a bit.

Jeremy took this chance to go check on Conner, make sure everything is ok. He jogged over to Conner, seeing him with a soft smile on his face.

"Where is Michael? Is he breathing? Is he going to survive this?"

"His breathing is stable, but he still hasn't moved. Is the ambulance almost he-"

The screech of an ambulance started sounding, getting closer and closer. Soon, it was around the corner and pulling up fast. People started to jump out of it, getting him on a stretcher, 2 opening the back doors, 1 putting a mask on his face and the last collecting vitals. They let me go in the ambulance, and I held his hand all the way there.

~Michael's POV~

As I woke up, the light was blinding. I hurt everywhere, from my arms to my legs, and everywhere in between. I saw that there were 3 people in the room, I couldn't make out exactly who they were, but based on the blue blob, black blob, and lighter blue blob, I was pretty sure they were Jer, Ev, and Conner. Jeremy noticed that I woke up, and immediately handed me my glasses.  'Holy shit, I can see again.'

Evan and Conner were asleep, but Jeremy looked like he hadn't slept in a week. He had almost matted hair, eye bags as dark as his cardigan, and all light went out in his eyes. He looked up at me and started crying, he seemed happy that I didn't die, but I can't see why. I was just another burden. Just another geek who doesn't deserve to live. I also saw that they had me listed as Mikayla.

My name is Michael.

"Michael, I thought you weren't ever going to wake up!"

"That was kind of the intention, Jer."

"Michael, I'm just glad you're ok. I don't care if that was the intention- I mean I do I definitely care I'm just glad you're ok whether it was intentional or not."  When Jeremy said this, the light in his eyes was sparked again, and I started crying.

"Thanks. I love you Player 2."

"I love you to, Player 1."

"Jesus guys, get a room." Conner said from across the room.

"How about you get out of ours?" The two boys said in unison. After everyone was done dying of laughter, they started playing games like go-fish, I-Spy, and telephone.

~1 month time skip~

Everything turned out ok, Michael survived and has been 1 whole month clean. He hasn't tried anything since, and has been seeing a counselor. He's been so much happier, I can't imagine what would have happened if he hadn't made it. I don't want to, either. But he did. And that's what matters.

And everything's ok
