Present

I STARE AT THE FAMILIAR, WHITE FRONT DOOR, contemplating whether to knock or ring the doorbell. They may not hear me if I just knock. But the doorbell might not work, that happens sometimes... Who am I kidding? Of course, their doorbell works.

"So this is where you disappeared to on the night of the football game? This house is so insane!" Tilly exclaims, studying the front patio of the house. I don't answer, continuing to stare at the door. "Bloody hell, I'll do it for you." She steps forward, pressing the doorbell. I guess that saves me any more trouble.

"Language." I hiss. I always call her up on her language, Dad would want it that way.

"Sorry." She mutters.

The door swings open in front of us, revealing a young girl. She is short with very light blonde hair and is wearing a blue plaid school dress. I recognise her as one of the girls from the picture, one of Lukas' little sisters.

Her eyes widen when she sees me and she turns around, "Anna! She's here!" She shouts, making Tilly and I jump back in shock. I look down at Tilly and she gives me a look to say 'what the hell is going on?'. I just simply give her a shrug.

Another girl comes running towards us in her uniform, a violin in one hand. She looks exactly like the first girl but her blonde hair has a few pink highlights

"I'm Avery." The girl who answered the door says, "You must be Emilie. We have heard all about you." She grins, extending her hand for me to shake. I shake her hand and return the smile. She turns to Tilly, "And you're Matilda or Tilly. Which do you prefer?" She extends her hadn't out to Tilly too. She shakes it shyly. Avery is very enthusiastic, it must be throwing her off.

"Tilly is fine." She replies.

"Nice, I like that name." Avery grins and the other girl steps forward.

"I'm Annabelle, but you can call me Anna." She shakes both of our hands with her empty one. I hear loud footsteps and I look inside to see Lukas bustling down the long staircase. He arrives at the bottom of the stairs and rushes over to us, standing behinds sisters.

Lukas looks especially gorgeous today. His hair is curlier than usual and is messy and unkempt. He is wearing an ACDC shirt and jeans. I feel my limbs momentarily go weak as he looks me up and down with a side smirk on his stupid, pretty face.

"I see you've met Anna and Avery." He puts his hands on each of their heads and messes up their hair, earning two long groans.

"Seriously?" They say in unison. Geez, twins are freaky. Lukas looks at me desperately, obviously wanting the twins to go away

"Hey, Anna," I say, grabbing her attention, "Tilly plays the violin, really well. Maybe she could show you some of her pieces?" I turn to Tilly by my side and she is glaring at me. I give her a desperate look, hoping she will help me out and she sighs, rolling her eyes.

"I would love that!" Anna replies with a grin.

"I play the violin too," Avery adds.

"Well then, she can show both of you!" I offer and she joins her sister in excitement.

"Off you go guys, have fun!" Lukas turns them around and they walk off. Tilly follows after them and Lukas mouths a 'thank you' to her.

Once they disappear, Lukas turns to me with a smile, "Come on in." He steps out of the way and I follow him in as he closes the heavy door behind me.
