I was relived when the final bell ring not because I did any schoolwork, no it was due to the fact I couldn't get Jason out of my head. Why does this have to happen to me? I'm not the type of girl who believes in love or romance. My dad walked out on me and my mom after he claimed he loved her for 5 years before she even got pregnant, I wasn't enough for him I know I won't be enough for a guy like him, I just met him anyways but now I have to do a project with him. When walking out of the school house my eyes naturally flow to find Riley, I need her help with how I'm supposed to do this stupid project all year long with a guy like him. "Riley, I need to talk to you" I urged her trying to get her attention away from her daydream. " What's it about? wait your not pregnant are you?" I could hear sarcasm in her voice, she know's I'm still a virgin. "Ok, Are you busy today" I asked ignoring her jokes, she picks on me alot becaused I've only had one boyfriend and at the time of being intimate I just wasn't ready. He broke up with me shortly after the little incident. " You should know if I'm ever busy it's either with you or Daniel". Daniel Montgomery is her boyfriend and most likely soon to be hubby they've been together for what seems like forever, even though it's only been 3yrs. " I need you to meet me at my house, mom should still be at work so she won't bother us" she just nodded and got in her car. Making my way to my car across the lot, I noticed a familiar figure exiting the school oh god why couldnt I have just parked closer to Riley. "Ray, he wait up" I heard someone yell. I turned to see Jason jogging up to me. "Hey, Whats up?" he asked "Just heading home, How about you" " Same, I was wondering if you wanted to grab a bite to eat and talk about our project?" he asked his cheeks got pinker but it's probaly from the heat. "Um I can't today, my friend Riley is coming over to my house right now actually" I said looking back at her car pulling out of the parking lot. Everytime he spoke I could just see his pink full lips on mine just the thought was making my stomach do sumersaucts. "Oh thats to bad, well can I have your number so we can scheduel a time to meet up?" he asked with a breathtaking smile, what is wrong with me stop Ray a guy like him won't want anything to do with you its just for the project. I kept arguing with myself I can't help but speak the truth of what really is gonna happen. "Yea can I see your phone?" he handed me his phone, as his hand barley brushed mine I shivered at the shock, what has this boy done to me? After I put my phone number in his phone under Ray. I turned to leave heading back to my car when he caught my arm causing me to come to a halt in shock by his touch. " It was nice talking to you again Ray, I'm glad I have someone I know and can talk to around here" he stated with a heartwarming smile. This boy is gonna be the death of me. " Me too, I don't really talk to alot of people" I blushed, damn I hope he don't think I'm lame I just like to be alone " Well consider me a person to talk to, see you around" he said smiling. "See you around" I answered back getting into my car, I couldn't help but smile the whole way home. I kept thinking about the way his eyes would sparkly when he'd smile, or the way he looked down when he asked me for my number, the way his lips moved when he talked. This boy was perfect mmm soo perfect. When I got home I was still in a daze imagining his perfectness, I couldn't help but miss what ever Riley just said to me "Huh?" I asked "I said where have you been?" I couldn't help to hear how annoyed she was. "My partner for a project wanted to scheduel a date to get together for the project" she raised a eyebrow, but dropped the subject. "So, what did you want to talk to me about?" she started. I didn't want to tell her the real reason no just yet. "Just wanted to know if you wanted to have a girl's day sometime this week?" I hope she bought it. " Ray everyday is a girl day with you" she stated curiously "Yea so, anyways have you seen the new guy he's so sexy" she asked me changing the subject. " Yea, actually he's my partner for the project" I answered shyly. Her mouth was opened in shock and what looked to be envy. "Why didn't you tell me this sooner?!?" "Ray this is big..." before she could finish her sentence I interrupted her " Don't even say it I can't be with a guy like him we are just partners for a school project why is that so hard to believe?" By this point I was getting upset she knew I couldn't trust people, and that guys like him won't go for a girl like me I don't see why she want's to get my hopes up. She looked shock at my outburst "Why are you so opposed to not let a guy in your life" she said throwing her hands up in the air "You know why Riley, I'm not good enough for anyone to love!" frowning she didn't reply probaly knowing nothing she could say would convince me.I knew she was annoyed at the whole situation so I changed the subject "Let's talk about something else" I implied not wanting to talk about this anymore I know the truth of the fact whether she accept it or not. After Riley went home, I took me a nice relaxing bubble bath just trying to forget what happend today. Nothing seemed to be working to get my mind off of Jason, Riley and I went shopping earlier at the mall because I knew that shopping is the only thing to keep her from talking or asking questions about him, but that didn't help me forget. After about an hour of bathing I dried off and got ready for bed. A couple of minutes later my phone buzzed and a number showed up that wasn't in my contacts, it was a text message Unsaved Number: Hey it's Jason :) My heart felt like it was gonna jump out of my chest, talk about trying to forget him. I quickly saved his number and replied Me: Hey whats up? by this time I was smiling he really texted me, don't get to ahead of yourself Ray, it's just about the project. Jason: I'm really glad your my partner I didn't know anyone else. He's glad to be my partner oh my this is crazy, wait it's because he didn't know anyone else Ray see your reading to much into this. Me: Yea, I'm glad to so when do u want to meet up oh no it sounded like I was asking him out. I blushed Me: For the project I mean oh no this is so embarassing. Jason: Lol How about tomorrow after school, at the coffee shop? Good he didn't think I was a creep, breathing now I replied back Me: Sounds good to me :) after I sent that message I put my phone on the table beside my bed and drifted off to a deep sleep with a smile on my face.
