Julia's POV

I couldn't believe it. I couldn't belive Tom had left Jump Street for real. He had spoken about it so many times, but I always thought he was just saying. I would've never thought it was serious and he would actually end up doing it.

"He what...?", I whispered almost inaudibly, more to myself than to Fuller but he heard me anyway.

"It saddens me too Julia. Hanson was one of my best officers, however it was his choice to make and we have to accept it", Fuller said, maybe trying to cheer me up but there was no use. All I wanted was someone to tell me all this was nothing but a bad joke. Unfortunately it never happened.

Not answering, I slowly but determindly made my way out of the office, Tom's badge still in my hand. The captain followed behind, repeatedly calling my name as he did so, but I totally ignored him and started running towards the front door.

"Where the hell does she think she's going ?", I heard him question right when I went out of the building. I had no idea who he was speaking to and I honestly didn't care.

Hopping in my car faster than ever, I pulled out of the parking lot to drive down the road, not giving a shit about the fact I'd most certainly get in trouble for leaving just like that once I return.

♡♡♡

"Baby ? What are you doing here ?", Tom spoke, a quite surprised look on his face as he opened the door I had been knocking on like a madwoman a few seconds ago.

"Don't baby me", I bitterly spat as I forced my way into his apartment, pushing him in the process.

"What's wrong ?", Tom questioned, frowning as if he was completely clueless.

"What's wrong ? You must be kidding ! That's wrong !", I blurted out, pointing to his badge I had taken with me and was still holding.

"Who told you ?", he asked, briefly looking down.

"Who cares who told me?!", I rolled my eyes in annoyance before slightly raising my voice, "Why did you do that ?"

"Who cares who told me?!", I rolled my eyes in annoyance before slightly raising my voice, "Why did you do that ?"

"Relax, it's not that big of a deal anyway."

"Not that big of a deal ?!", I scoffed, glaring at him, "You just threw your career away Tom !"

"Come on, stop acting like I never gave you a hint I wanted to quit. I don't know how many times I've mentioned it", he retorded.

"And when were you planning on letting me know ?", I curiously questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"I was just waiting for you to come back from work", he simply answered.

We remained silent for a moment while I kept shaking my head in disbelief. Tom then took a few steps in my direction and pulled me into a hug.

"Don't worry babygirl, everything's gonna be just fine. I applied for a job a few weeks ago and I got it so there's really nothing to worry about", he cooed, holding me close to his body, his soothing velvety voice almost succeeding in calming me down. Well, almost.
