Things couldn't get any better for Julia Andrew, the newest addition to the Jump Street team. She enjoys going undercover in high schools and gets along very well with her new colleagues, especially Tom Hanson who quickly became her best friend.
But...
The first day of my new mission turned out to be more complicated than I thought it would be in the first place. This Helena was what you could call unsociable. I tried to talk to her, to be as nice as can be, however she didn't say shit to me. She turned me down when I asked her if she wanted to join me for lunch and kept ignoring me and avoiding me the whole time. It had only been a day and yet I was already doubting I'd be able to get her to speak to me about the rape. I highly doubted I would even get her to speak to me at all, like a simple hello or anything like that. Anyway, that case would sure as hell take much longer to solve than I had expected. Well, if only it'd get solved one day that is.
Anyway, as usual I went back to Jump Street after that long day at school. Now was the time for my favourite part of the job : paperwork.
Note my sarcasm.
Seriously, after spending hours stuck in a classroom with a bunch of kids, the only thing you wanna do is go home and crash onto the couch. I was exhausted and seeing that huge pile of paperwork sitting on my desk wasn't helping. Actually, it was nearly enough to make me wanna commit suicide.

I would've said fuck it and done it the day after, but the thing is the pile would have only doubled in size till then so there was no point since I'd have to do it eventually. I poured myself a cup of coffee and reluctantly started working.
♡♡♡
Hours had passed and the chapel had slowly emptied. It was now dark outside and the place was dead silent. Everybody had gotten back home, even Sal had just finished scouring the floor and was about to leave.
"Bye Julia, see you tomorrow", he said as he walked past my desk.
"Bye Sal", I smiled slightly at him, briefly taking my eyes off the paper I was filling out as I did so.
"Bye Hanson", I heard Sal's voice echoing again at the other end of the room.
"Bye Sal"
My eyes went wide at the sound of another voice. Tom ?
Immediately looking straight ahead to where his desk was situated, I indeed caught sight of him.
Crap, I was so focused on what I was doing that I hadn't even noticed Tom was still there. Well, at least I wasn't alone. And I could tell by the amount of files all over his desk that he had a lot left to do, just like me. His motivation seemed to have abandon him by now though. He was daydreaming, chewing on his pencil.
