"There's a roadblock ahead..." Amanda groaned, slowing down the car.
"Why is there a roadblock?!" I exclaimed frantically.
"It's Friday night, they must be looking to catch drunk drivers." Amanda replied shortly.
Joe sighed in the back seat, "You already left him anyways... just let it be."
"No!" I exclaimed unbuckling my seat belt. "How close am I?!"
"Joe?!" Bria exclaimed wanting him to answer me.
"On foot??" Joe chuckled in disbelief. Bria, Amanda and I all turned and glared at him, making him roll his eyes and sigh, "15 blocks east... B-street usually starts selling around this time... and I can imagine Billy and the rest of the boys are gonna be there waiting for them."
"15 blocks? 15 blocks east where?! what am I looking for Jesus Christ Joe! be a little more specific!" I exclaimed.
Joe rolled his eyes, "It's in the back parking lot of an abandoned warehouse... it's B-streets turf."
"What kind of warehouse?! What color?!" I shouted more questions out at Joe.
"...It's black and it has a pile of rusty cars in front of it... you won't miss it." Joe added with annoyance in his tone.
No one else had a chance to say anything as I swung the passenger side door open and jumped out in the middle of a traffic jam caused by the roadblock up ahead that the police had set up. My andrenaline was sky high, making me forget the fact that I was both sick and injured badly from being beaten up earlier. It was like the more my adrenaline coursed through my veins, the more it numbed everything else. My hair was flying wildly in the wind as I literally pushed myself to run as fast as I could. Counting every block that I ran by, making sure that I didn't miscount any blocks. My breathing was raspy as my ribs were so sore, almost making it hard to breathe somehow. Or... maybe because all I do is smoke cigarettes and I never run. The only time you will see me run is if someone or something is behind... and in that case, you should probably run too.
Finally I reached the 15th block, standing in front of an abandoned warehouse with rusty old cars out front, most certainly fitting the description Joe gave me. Gasping for breathe, I hunched over and rested my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breathe.
"Lord Jesus... I'm gonna..." I trailed off, stopping to gasp for air, "Join a fuckin' gym and quit smoking after this..." I puffed before standing up straight and sighing.
Pop. Pop.
The sound of two gun shots echoed through my ears. I immediately ran behind the warehouse over to where Billy's and Heco's cars were parked. My mind told me to turn back around and leave while my heart, my stupid, stupid heart told me to run over there. Soon regretting doing so as when I got around to where Billy was standing, I noticed two bodies laying dead in front of him, a pool of blood surrounding them. confirming my assumption. Surprisingly they were the two men who attacked me.
Horror struck me. Stepping back away slowly, I trembled in fear of what I was actually looking at. Billy and the rest of his boys turned their attention over to my direction, making me slowly start to panic. I placed my hand over my mouth as I stared down at the dead men, trembling and choking back tears. He killed them... he fucking killed them.
"Amber..." Billy said coldly as he reached out to touch me.
I jumped back again and shook uncontrollably. Jack said something like this would happen... in the back of my own mind I knew something like this would happen. I mean, why wouldn't it? he made his own brother kill someone at random for initiation. Why wouldn't Billy be this temperamental to just not kill these guys? Regret flashed through me as I thought about how I told these guys that Billy was going to kill them... I didn't actually mean he was going to legit fucking kill them. Oh my God, I just witnessed a murder. Two murders!
