My eyes shifted around as I received both dirty and strange looks from crack heads and hookers coming out from hiding as the darkness of the night appeared. A crackhead gasped at the sound of Julia's car locking behind Bria and I.. A familiar looking woman exited the apartment building causing me to spin around to avoid my face being noticed. At first I thought it was Amanda, but I soon realized that the girl was too young to be Amanda but oddly enough looked a hell of a lot like Amanda. Maybe it was her sister that Bria had mentioned earlier? Maybe, who know's... if it is Baggy and Amanda's little sister, I'm not worried... We've never met and she doesn't even know who I am. Yet, she stared at me as she walked by causing an uneasy feeling in my stomach. Bria didn't seem to even notice the girl.
"Oh God.. what are we doing?" Bria huffed as we slowly made our way through the parking lot.
My stomach twisted and turned as Bria and I approached the laundry room entrance. My palms were becoming clammy, my knees weak, a lump was forming in my throat as we continued to walk towards the door, not giving any thought as to what we would even ask or say to Joe. Somehow I managed to remain calm as I placed my hand on the greasy, dirty door knob. Opening the door, I blinked as I looked around. The laundry room was dark, big, but dark. It had a couple rooms in it, which made me assume that the maintenance room was the room that had the opened door, hence the red photographers lights...which at any other time would have freaked me out.
"Joe?" Bria called out as we slowly made our way through the laundry room.
Joe, who obviously didn't hear us come in, was hunched over his garbage bag full of laundry, grabbing clothes and throwing them into the machine. We walked up behind him and stood there with an emotionless expression. I was no longer worried or even the slightest bit scared... I could feel my blood slowly starting to boil as I stared at Joe, though.
Joe stood up, a cigarette dangling from in between his lips as he started the washing machine. Joe turned around and jumped from being startled, his cigarette falling from in between his lips down to the cement floor. My body began to shake uncontrollably as anger coursed through my veins. I've never had this much adrenaline course through my veins before, ever.
Joe gave a quick chuckle as he wiped his mouth off with his sleeve, "Fuck guys... you fuckin' scared the shi-" Joe stopped, his eyes finally adjusting and realizing that it was Bria and I standing in front of him.
"Joe... we just want to talk..." Bria said softly.
Joe ignored her and pointed at me, squinting his eyes as I panted trying to calm myself down, "You.. you fucking kidding me?" Joe chuckled in disbelief that I was actually standing in front of him. He didn't seem to even care that Bria was there. "...You?" Joe questioned in disbelief, still pointing at me.
"Joe... what did you do?... why did you do this...? Wh-" Bria began to bawl, asking Joe a bunch of questions.
The whole room felt unstable, I couldn't hear anything and all I could see was Bria crying and mouthing questions in what appeared to be slow motion. Something had just snapped inside of me, giving me strength and courage that I've never had before. I was in a rage, hence why It seemed like everything was in slow motion and I couldn't hear anything as I stomped over to Joe and wrapped my hands around his throat, slamming jm up against the washer and dryer.
"Amber!" Bria screamed as the room suddenly stopped spinning and everything went back to normal.
Joe grunted as my eyes widened in anger and I used all my strength and weight to slam Joe's head against the dryer. Joe fought to push me off of him but was struggling as I continued to slam his head up and then back down against the dryer. Bria jumped back in shock and fear, covering her mouth and staring at us in horror.
