My eyes shot open, shifting from side to side as I frantically tried to figure out where I was. There was some kind of tube inside of my mouth and all I could hear was a beeping sound from a heart monitor. My body was stiff and sore but I still managed to sit up. My eyes widened as I jolted my head from left to right, realizing that I was in a hospital bed in a small, white hospital room. My vision was blurry, my chest where I was shot was in agonizing pain... but I was alive.
"Doctor!" A female nurse called out.
The nurse rushed to my side, placing her hand on my arm and trying to force me to lay back down. I yanked the tube out of my mouth and grunted as I flailed around as the nurse fought to hold me down. The more I struggled, the more sharp pains shot around the area the bullet had pierced me.
"BILLY!" I roared.
"Doctor!" The nurse shouted.
A male doctor ran into the room over beside the nurse and pulled my hospital gown up, revealing the multiple white round stickers placed on my chest and stomach - attached to the monitor. If I remember correctly, I think Julia called them Electrodes. 'Round stickers placed on your chest and attached to a monitor or TV screen so we can watch how your heart is working.' is how she explained them to me. The annoying tube that I just ripped out of my mouth is for after you are asleep in the operating room, a tube will be inserted in your lungs; the tube is attached to a machine that will do your breathing for you. It allows your heart and lungs time to recover from your operation without having to do all the work. When the tube is removed when you are better, you are "extubated."
Speaking of which... I wonder how long I've been out and how long was my surgery.
"BILLY!" I screamed again.
Now two more male nurses came running into the room, stopping at the foot of my bed and instructing to each other to restrict me by holding my legs down. Something went off in me because I couldn't do anything besides scream angrily, flail around, fight with the doctors. I grunted in agony as the doctor roughly shoved me back down. My eyes watered as I stared up at watched the female nurse grab the bag that was hooked up to the IV line and inject something inside it.
Within a few seconds, my flailing and screaming stopped and I gasped for air. My eyelids fluttered open and shut a couple of times before my eyelids finally closed and I drifted off into yet another deep - sedated - sleep.

As I slept, I fell into a dream.. but unlike a usual random dream, this was a flashback of something that took place in my life a few years ago. I'm sixteen, my hair is a fake bleach blonde color, I'm sixteen, in fact... it's the night of my sixteenth birthday and here I am... wearing nothing but my bra and lacy panties, sitting under the blankets in Jack's bed. Evelyn and Jack's brothers are all gone out somewhere so Jack and I are finally 'alone'.
Even though Jack and I have been pretty much in love since we were like eight and officially started dating when we were thirteen... we've yet to have sex. Christy's already been sexually active for a couple years now and Julia is secretly sleeping with Bobby. Yet Jack and I who've been together for a LONG time... have yet to do it... until now.
"Can you turn off the lights?" I asked Jack, who was standing at the foot of his bed, shirtless and in nothing but his boxers, about to climb into bed with me.
Both Christy and Julia have been bugging me to do this as they both still can't believe Jack and I have yet to do anything besides make out.
"Why?" Jack asked dully.
"Because..." I trailed off awkwardly.
"You're not shy are you?" Jack asked with a goofy grin forming from the corners of his mouth.
