"Amber." Jack whispered shaking me gently, trying to wake me up. "Amber wake up."

"Jack?" I mumbled slowly opening my eyes, "What's wrong?"

"We found the witness, went to his place... Bobby pulled out his gun... shit went down, he let his dogs out at Bobby. The dogs fucking chomped down on Bobby's arm. Damian - the witness, tried to escape his apartment through the fucking window and he lives on the top floor! Bobby broke in, chopped the rope he was using to climb down. Buddy fucking falls, we go out there and see his bone sticking out of his leg... Bobby said he wasn't going to call an ambulance until Damian gave us the shooters names and he wouldn't for the longest time and then he finally did and-" Jack explained.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" I interrupted, now wide awake.

Jack took a deep breathe, "We found the shooters who shot mom at a club... I made the mistake of pointing them out and they fired a gun at us, we chased them outside and Amber.. I shit you not, I fucking shot at the back of their car three times before we got back into Bobby's car and chased after them and I don't know if you've looked outside but it's been a blizzard since last night... so it was icy and their car flipped and Bobby and Angel fucking beat them up and shot them... I haven't slept and I'm a nervous mess." Jack explained more.

"Jack... what the fuck... are you talking about?! You guys killed someone?!" I exclaimed.

"...I didn't..." Jack replied shortly, "Angel and Bobby shot the guys who shot my mom."

I sighed and wrapped my arms around Jack, "It's okay... baby, look at me." I demanded, noticing Jack was going in to one of his panic attacks that he has whenever something bad like what he just told me - happens. Jack has been having these panic/anxiety attacks since we were small kids. Something tells me it had something to do with all the bad things that's happened to him as a child before Evelyn adopted him...

"Jackie look at me. It's okay... they got what they deserved." I soothed, rubbing Jack's back.

"Why did this happen? to her especially? Of all people... why Evelyn Mercer?" Jack asked quietly.

I took a deep breathe as I pulled away from Jack, staring right into his eyes, "I don't know..."

Jack looked away from me as he dug in his pocket, I couldn't tell what he was fiddling with. So instead of saying anything else, I got out of bed and got dressed. After I was done, I took Jack by the hand and led him back downstairs to the dining room where Sofie and a shirtless Bobby were sitting. Bobby's "No Mercy" back tattoo was clearly visible as well as he dog bites that Sofie was cleaning for him. Bobby winced as Sofie applied a cotton swab dipped in peroxide on one of the bites, pulling his arm away.

"You're such a pussy Bobby!" Sofie exclaimed in annoyance.

"A pussy? you try being mauled down by two rottweilers!" Bobby retorted before a loud bang on the door interupted him from saying anymore.

"Yo 5-O are here!" Angel shouted from the living room.

Bobby jumped up and looked at Sofie and I, "Quick, go get me something.. anything to cover up with."

Sofie and I both ran to the small laundry room located beside the kitchen. I ripped open the dryer door and pulled out Sofie's housecoat, carelessly throwing it to her. She shrugged and ran back to Bobby, handing him the housecoat. Bobby didn't seem to care, he just put it on and tied it up and made his way to the living room and plopped down on the couch - trying to make it look like he was doing nothing except relaxing.

"Mind if we come in?" I heard Lt. Green ask Angel from the front door.

"You're already in..." Angel groaned, stepping out of the way to let Fowler and Green inside the house.
