Monday late morning had come and Jack and his three other brothers were now meeting with their mother Evelyn's lawyer, Robert Bradford. Jack's hair was slicked back and in place for once, meaning that all of them were taking this day seriously.

"I'm so sorry about your mother..." Robert started with a sigh. Robert was about Evelyn's age, old and seemed to be taking this harder than what most lawyers do with their clients, "I only met your mother once... but she was a swell lady. I know this is difficult to deal with all of this while grieving a loved one but-"

"So how much do we get?" Jack interrupted as he flipped through papers. Bobby scoffed and slapped Jack in the back of the head.

"Come on man..." Jerry said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"What's wrong with you?" Angel asked Jack in a whisper of disgust while Robert got up and walked over to another desk grabbing a safety deposit box and setting it down in front of Bobby and Jack. Bobby grabbed it and immediately opened it.

"This is your mothers safety deposit box... I'll leave you all alone for a few minutes to look through it." Robert stated as he walked out of the large room.

Bobby pulled out two envelopes, handing one to Jack and the other one to Jerry. Jack squinted his eyes as he opened the envelope and read what the papers consisted of. "Birth certificate... and adoption papers..." Jack stated dully.

"Henry Ford Hospital!" Jerry exclaimed, lighting up like a kid on Christmas day, "So I am from Detroit!"

"Grand Rapids Michigan..." Jack mumbled where he was from.

"My momma was sixteen man?!" Jerry exclaimed, looking down at his papers.

"Are there any papers in there for me?" Angel asked anxiously.

Bobby shook his head and shrugged, "No... and there's none in here for me either."

"Woah!" Jack exclaimed as he leaned over and grabbed a concert ticket out of the safety deposit box, "1969... Ma went to Woodstock." Jack announced.

"Yeah, ma was a hippy, you didn't know that?" Bobby replied briefly as he continued to rummage through the safety deposit box, "Oh here we go!" He exclaimed standing up, his brothers following his actions. Bobby started to count a wad of cash and dividing it evenly between three ways, handing some money to Angel and then to Jerry and then slipping the rest in his pocket.

"What about me?" Jack hissed, narrowing his eyes.

"Here-" Bobby said as he grabbed an old necklace out of the box and placed it in Jack's hand, "That'll look pretty on you."

Angel and Jerry started to laugh as they threw on their jackets and walked away from the table, leaving Jack standing there scoffing in disbelief.

"Whatever man..." Jack grumbled as he slipped the necklace into his pocket. All three of his brothers continued to snicker as Jack put on his jacket, "Fuck you..." He mumbled under his breathe.

"Oh quit crying." Jerry hissed at Jack, "Come on... I got something to show y'all."

Yawning, I finally woke up from the sleep I had drifted off into on my couch. I sat up and stretched my arms out, looking over at the mattress Julia, Bria and I had brought in to the living room late last night/ early this morning after she was released out of the hospital. Julia and I wanted to make her forget the fact that she pretty much almost just died from a drug overdose and just eat pizza and watch stupid movies together - like we use to back in Detroit.
