Luke's POV

A white light flashed through the darkness and I squinted my eyes, unaware as to where I was. I could see a long hallway stretching out in front of me, several doors either side of the corridor, before it split into two different directions.
Where am I?

And then it hit me, what we had tried to do had worked, Michael had plugged me into the machine and the electric shock was what it took for me to reach my destination; Calum's mind.

I groaned, a pain shooting through my head, and I lifted my hand to press to it in attempt to ease the pain. The flashbacks of the wires, me screaming, me hitting my head, flew through my mind and I let out a whimper; my head must hurt in the real world too.

I carefully lifted myself off of the floor and dusted off the non-existant dirt from my jeans. I took a step forward and reached out my hand to turn the handle to the first door on my left. It creaked slightly as I pushed it open, and I found myself standing in a small, but familiar, room that I couldn't quite understand what it was doing here. Calum's bedroom.

'Hello?' I spoke, looking around at my surroundings.
'Calum? Calum let me in, please!' I spun around to face the door on the other side of the room. For the first time I noticed a weak, crying Calum leaning against the door.

'Calum, oh I found you! Hallelujah!' I sighed, running over to him. But he didn't answer. He stayed leaning against the door, tears streaming down his face as he rocked back and forth. I extended my arm to touch his shoulder, but I snatched it back in shock as I saw it go straight through Calum.
'Calum? Talk to me, please!' I recognised my own voice coming through the other side of the door and I remembered; this had happened before, 3 years ago when Calum had got his first lot of hate on twitter. I was in Calum's version of this memory. I stood back, heading back to the door as I realised that real Calum wasn't in this room. I shook the handle, but I couldn't leave. I turned it again but it still wouldn't open. I would have to wait till the end of the memory was over, and so I slumped down against the door and watched Calum cry. I heard my voice again from the other side of the door, begging Calum to open up. And then something happened which I hadn't known before, Calum pulled a blade from his pocket and he held it to his wrist with shaking hands.

'STOP, CALUM STOP IT!' I screamed as I watched the memory replay before my eyes. And then he did it, a drop of blood dropping to the floor before my eyes. I sobbed, clenching my eyes shut and waiting for the memory to finish. I couldn't handle this, I couldn't make myself open another door to another memory when I would end up crying each time. I had only just started searching and I already believed this would be the hardest thing I ever had to do. But I would do it for Calum.
