Calums POV
My breathing was fast and uneven, my chest rising up and down. I looked around the room, curling up into a ball in hopes that this wasnt another horrid memory.
'Oh my goodness,' I heard someone breathe. 'Calum.' I looked down at the floor, spotting Ashton and, to my displeasure, Michael. Ashton was up and by the side of my bed in a heartbeat, fiddling with my hair and checking to see if I was alright.
'Ash,' I chuckled, pushing him away slightly. 'I'm fine.'
'Thank God.' He muttered, still fussing over me. I wrapped my arms around him in a quick hug, trying to console him as best as I could.
'Hey Cal.' Michael said, looking at me cautiously. He winced when I shot him the best glare I could muster, obviously getting the message that I was beyond pissed with him.
'Where's Luke?' I demanded, looking around desperately to spot the blonde haired boy. I didn't know what I had expected, but it definitely hadn't been the sight I was met with.
His face was pale, his body scrawled over the floor looking weak and defenceless. His hair was messy and he looked like all energy had been completely sucked out of him.
'What's wrong with him?' I panicked, trying to get up from the hospital bed to be closer to him. I was pushed back down by Ashton, him muttering some incoherent words about how I still had IVs attached. He looked over at Luke, his face turning pale too, and rushed over. He pressed his hands against Lukes neck, checking for a pulse.
'No no no no no no no no no.' He whispered, leaning over Lukes mouth to make sure he hadn't misjudged. 'Someone get a doctor!' He shouted, pressing his hands against Lukes chest and pumping in attempt of resuscitation.
Michael ran out of the room, leaving me to scream and cry like a little girl, hoping and praying that he wasnt really dead.
'This cant be happening,' I said to myself, closing my eyes tight shut and wishing that this was still part of my head. But it wasn't, and I couldn't kid myself any longer because there was something about this that felt real.
A man in a white coat ran in, heading straight for Luke with staggered breath as he had been running.
'Someone come quick! We need the defibrillators!'
An inhuman noise escaped my mouth as I watched a dead Luke become surrounded by doctors.
Dead Luke.
My heart monitor started to beep too quickly, my head starting to spin.
He couldn't be dead. I wouldn't let him.
Then darkness was the only thing that surrounded me.
