"Uhm... I have an idea", Brendon mumbled, scratching the back of his neck, causing me to laugh.
"What is your plan?"
"We have to get to the girl, we can't let it happen that one kid on this earth won't get their present! We have to fly with one of the reindeer to her", Brendon said, looking at Nora in his hands, who licked over his face.
"She seems to like you", I chuckled.
"Every dog loves me", Brendon said, smiling.
"But how are we supposed to get to her?", I asked.
"On a reindeer", Brendon said as if it was nothing.
"You know that the reindeer are guiding santa now."
"But not the younger ones", Brendon said, already making his way to the younger reindeer.
One of them was still awake, staring at the dog in brendons arms.
"We can't do that!", I whispered.
"We can, I know this reindeer, her name is sunny."
"But Brendon, we don't even know if sunny -", I started talking but Brendon was faster. He already brought sunny out of her stable. She lifted her head, obviously being happy about what Brendon did.
"You wanna help us to fly us to the little girl?", he asked sunny, causing her to nod.
"See", Brendon said, "sunny wants to help us, we have to be fast. I would suggest that we both will get out of here as fast as possible and get to this girl!"
"But we can't both be on this small reindeer."
"Mmmhhh", Brendon made, "wait outside, I have another idea."
And with that said I went outside the building g and waited for brendon to return. He had the reindeer behind him with a small sleigh behind it.
"Are you serious?", I asked.
"Yes I am", Brendon said, "what Are you waiting for? Sit down!"
I sighed and did what Brendon said, I sat down on the reindeer and Brendon behind us with more in the sleigh.
Suddenly the reindeer sunny started to fly quickly, I had to tighten my grip around it.
"Please don't let us die", I whispered, my arms around the animal.
Brendon just laughed behind me, obviously enjoying everything.
The wind was cold and I was hoping to land soon, I wasn't the biggest fan of snow, eventhough I am an elf.
"Why aren't you enjoying this?", Brendon asked, "open your eyes and see how beautiful everything here is."
I slowly opened my eyes and saw the whole city from above, I saw all the houses, covered in snow. It was a beautiful sight. I think even sunny liked it.
"Does sunny even know where to fly?", I asked, my eyes closed again, I didn't need to see the distance between the sleigh and the safe ground.
"I told her, now stop worrying and start enjoying!"
I couldn't follow brendons instructions, but my grip around sunny loosened slightly. Then she suddenly started to fly slower and I let out a sigh of relieve when we finally landed on the ceiling of the girls house.
"Thank, god!", I said, opening my eyes again, "we're alive!"
"Let's give this child her Christmas present!", Brendon said, holding Nora in his arms, ignoring my words.
I walked with Brendon down the chimney, taking care of the dog, and landed safely on the floor of the living room.
"What now?", I whispered to Brendon.
"I don't know! I have never done this before", he said, "just try to be quiet!"
"Alright", I said, just lay the dog under the tree, I guess."
"And you watch out, if someone comes, ok?", he asked me quietly.
"Ok."
Brendon took a deep breath and took a few steps forward, laying the dog carefully under the tree.
"Here is now your new home, Nora", Brendon whispered, stroking the dog.
Brendon slowly stood up again and wanted to walk to me again, but unfortunately he hit one of the Christmas tree balls with his arm, causing it to crash on the floor.
"Oh shit", Brendon whispered, standing still.
Then we suddenly heard footsteps from above, coming closer.
I sharply breathed in and pulled Brendon aside, but it was already too late. The little girl was already standing in front of us, her eyes wide open.
"Are you two elves?", she asked, her eyes starting to shine. She was in her sleeping clothes and held a small teddy bear in her hand.
"We are", brendon whispered.
"Whoa!", she said, smiling bright, running to brendon to hug him tightly, "I never ever saw an elf before!"
Brendon chuckled silently and hugged the tiny girl.
The girl let go of Brendon when Nora sat down next to the girl.
"Is this my present!?", she asked, staring at Nora.
"Yes it is", I said, "her name is nora", I gave Brendon a small side smile.
She hugged the dog with a bright smile on her face.
"Thank you!", she mumbled with her big puppy eyes.
"Please take good care of her, will you promise me that?", Brendon asked the girl.
"Yes, I will take care of Nora", she answered.
"Then bye! I hope you and your family have a merry little christmas!", I said.
And with that said, Brendon and I got out of the house, through the chimney again and flew home with sunny the reindeer.
This time I wasn't closing my eyes while we were flying.
This time, Brendon sat behind me and held me close to him.
And I couldn't do anything but to smile, he was right, this is beautiful...♡
