Ryan's pov

Christmas presents shopping.

Yey.

It was the 23th december and I still had to buy a few presents.
I sighed loudly when I arrived at the big and crowed mall. Many people were running from one shop to another one.

I just hoped I would come out of here alive.

I took a deep breath before joining the hurried people and tried to focus on my presents.

First the artist shop for my cousin, I thought making my way to the tiny shop. I let out a sigh of relieve when I arrived.
Nearly no one was here and I hoped it would stay this way. I just quickly grabbed a few pencils and a sketch book, buying it, before turning around to see a familiar face in the crowd.

I couldn't quite trust my eyes when I saw Brendon hurrying through the whole crowd with a bag of presents in his hand.

"Sir, I'm sorry, but you have to buy these utensils", the cashier said, when she noticed me staring out of the window.

"Oh, yeah, sorry", I mumbled, giving the cashier her money.

Without saying anything else, I walked out of the store, being greeted by the loudd noises of several people. But he was gone.

Brendon was gone.

I cursed in my mind and made my way to the next shop, still trying to find Brendon again.
We broke up a few months ago, but I couldn't get him out of my mind, eventhough I was in a relationship with other guys in the mean while. No one was like Brendon and no one will ever be.

I knew I shouldn't look out for brendon, but I wanted to. I don't  even know why we broke up in the first place. It wasn't a fight,  it was more of a time problem what made us loose Each other slowly.

I came to a small decor shop to buy something for my mum here. She loves to decorate her house.

I saw a small angel figure standing on one of the shelves, moving it in my hands.
I turned around and noticed Brendon again who was running on the other side of the mall. This time he caught my eye contact and I think he smiled at me for a short second, before trying to make his way over to me. I quickly bought the figure and walked out of the shop, but I couldn't get through the whole crowd.

Brendon also seemed to have a problem to get to me, eventhough he tried it hard.

I lost him again unfortunatly and I made my way to the next shop to buy a perfume for my father, eventhough I couldn't concentrate on this anymore. My thoughts were surrounded by Brendon. The man I once loved and maybe I still do.

I started walking out of the shop in hope to find him again, but the only thing I noticed were some people bumping into me, causing me to let out a few curse words.

I made my way outside, no hope any more inside me that maybe I would find him again, so I sat down on a bench, sighing.

I took a look at all the Christmas presents and smiled sadly when I noticed no present was there for him anymore. God, I miss him so much.

Then I was about to stand up to go away but I took a look at mall again and this time I saw him again, waving at me.

My eyes widened and a smile crawled on my face, causing me to step into the mall again.

I tried to get to Brendon, but here were to many people.
He also tried it pointing at the big Christmas tree in the middle of the mall.

I narrowed my eyes but then I got what he meant and ran down the stairs to get to the tree. It was harder than it sounds like when a bunch of people are right in front of you, but I still tried my best.

It was hard not to loose the presents, but I got it. I managed to get to the big Christmas tree where nearly no one stood, except Brendon smiling at me.

"Hi", I awkwardly said, scratching the back of my neck.

"Hey", he said, still breathing heavily from running.

"Uhm, how are you? It's been a long time", I said, not knowing how to start this conversation.

"I'm good, what about we talk about that outside where it's less crowded?", he suggested, causing me to nod.

"I would love to", I said, smiling bright.

Then we both walked out of the mall, leaving the big Christmas tree behind.

Maybe now a new chapter of my life will finally start...
