"Hurry your arse up, Lee, or we're gonna be late!"

I huffed with impatience waiting for my twin brother to get ready. He just has this mindset to have everything perfect, but we are only 15!

"Alright, alright! Stop getting your knickers in a twist. Geez!" I can imagine him rolling his eyes at me. That slow arse.

Finally, he's ready so we get our chauffeur to drive us to school. Our family is fairly well off and we always have everything served on a silver platter, figuratively speaking. I glanced down at the expensive branded clothes I'm wearing before glancing at my brother.

Our styles are so different yet kind of similar. Leeroy is a bit more outlandish in his clothing choices. I mean, yeah, he's a dancer but that doesn't mean he has to wear those ridiculous leg warmers all the time. I'm more of a natural athlete. Our circles in school don't intersect that much since Lee is the brains and I'm the brawns. We do make it a point to eat lunch together at school once a week. Usually, it's not the first day of the week, though.

Once arriving at our classy school, we split ways. I spied Harry and Louis, but they were a little preoccupied with each other. I went to find my football (soccer) team and talk to them about something but then, someone catches my eye and I started to ignore my friends, getting caught up in that person.

He is beautiful. This small, blond haired lad just took my breath away. I just had one look and he sent my thoughts running wild. Who is he? Where'd he come from? Will he be intimidated by me? By us?

Once I manage to tear my gaze away after watching Harry and Louis interact with him, my gaze immediately goes to Leeroy who, I'm surprised to find, is already staring at me with his eyes wide open. I quickly pulled out my phone to text Harry.

To: Harry

Have the new kid sit with you at lunch. Lee and I will join you today.

A moment later, my phone vibrated.

From: Harry

I'll insist that he sit with us, after we get to know him better. He's also my age. Can you believe that?! I can finally hang out with somone who's not grumpy like you guys lol.

And then i received another message.

From: Harry

But don't you hurt him, Liam. It can't be like the last time you two Payne's decided to date someone.This lad seems nice. X

I rolled my eyes at the last sentence in Harry's message and ignored it. I walked into the building and made my way to class. I'm actually just as smart as Lee, I just don't put in as much effort and also because i put almost all of my time practising football. What i do know is that I just can't wait for lunch.

It was finally lunch, but the teachers sure took their precious time, agonizing us with trash that i could care less about. I rush in to the cafeteria to see Lee doing the same thing. We are both eager to meet the new kid. I kept in mind what Harry said, though. We get to them and barely sat down across the table before Harry bellows so loud that he might've been mistaken for using a damned megaphone,

"Niall! Over here, Our little leprechaun."

Lee and I both look up to see the beautiful blond with flushed cheeks coming our way. He was close enough for us to see that he has the most beautiful, almost icy blue eyes. I see him staring at Lee and I in confusion, probably trying to figure out who we are. I smiled at him.

I want this to work.

We will make this work.

(A/N: yes, I left on another cliffhanger. The next chapter will be them finally meeting, but now you know more about the Payne twins and know they have a past with someone. Plus now you know why Harry insisted Niall join them for lunch.)
