This day was the day I have been waiting for all my life. It was the start of something new, something exciting— it was my graduation day. I experienced a lot of pain, happiness, and stress all throughout my school life. It was one hell of a ride.

I couldn't focus with the program at all as I try to look for a certain someone amongst the audience. He isn't here anymore but my heart still longs for his presence. It will always do.

"May we call on this year's Valedictorian, Yoon Nari."

I stand up as the applause surrounds me. Is this really happening? Am I graduating college today? I walk my way towards the stage and as I ready my speech for this afternoon, Jungkook smiles gently from the crowd and whispers "Fighting!"

"Good afternoon everyone. Before I start off my speech, I would like to share that my heart is extremely nervous to be standing in front of you all today. I am more than delighted to represent the whole batch of nurses who not only survived sleepless nights but also worked earnestly to get to where we are now."

It still feels surreal. To be able to speak on stage as the Valedictorian? I couldn't possible dream of being one but certain things drove me to pursue my dreams.

"I want to give everyone a pat in the back and say that we made it. We actually made it. We learned, lost and made new memories along the way but we will forever cherish them, hold them in our hearts as a factor to mold ourselves into someone better."

I take a deep breath as I reach the most special part of my speech. Writing this whole piece was a piece of cake but this part, wherein I share something that holds a very significant place in my heart— I pause for a few seconds and face the audience once more.

"I've wanted to be a nurse because of someone. He would always come back to me with bruises and I would always freak out because I didn't know what to do. He came to me so broken, both physically and emotionally. I was useless back then. I couldn't heal him either way so I vowed to become someone who helps people with healing. Although, I suck at healing people emotionally, I at least know how to help them with physical injuries."

The audience laughs and soon turned quiet.

"I don't know where he is right now— the universe made it a point that we may never cross paths again but I do promise in his absence that I'll treat and help people because I failed to do so, with him."

     "I love you."

It was faint but it was the only thing that Mingyu heard. He was standing in front of the woman he loves and his brother with a look of both as shock and pain. In that instant, it all came flashing back.

"I lost again, huh?" He whispers to himself.

He didn't spend another second seeing something that was already breaking him. He walked away, from them and from his feelings.

Hurting never felt this painful before.

"Now that my speech is coming to end, I would like to share a quote. Everything happens for a reason, it may hurt you, benefit you, but all these things occur because it was destined to happen in order to bring you to where you're supposed to be. Congratulations to everyone."
