Hudson Town. That's what the old, weather battered sign reads as we drive past. Just by looking around as we enter, I can tell it's a farming town. Tractors are everywhere, fields upon fields layer either side of the road, the shops are old and outdated and I'm sure they wouldn't know what a mobile phone was even if they were given one.
"I need to get out of this car for a while," I say. I feel as if my ass is sewn to the seat. The only time I get out the car is to pee and even then, it's no longer than five minutes before I get sneaked back to the car. I use the word 'sneak' because that's exactly what he does. He tries to only stop of a night and failing that, only in empty or close to empty places. Then he'd have to walk me to and from the bathroom, whilst keeping watch outside. If there's someone in the bathroom, I have to keep my face turned away from them, his rules, not mine.
I'm beginning to feel like I have actually been abducted!
"I'm not sure if that's a good..." an angry growl fills the car and Jason looks at me sharply. Both of us sit in a kind of stunned silence as the car slows, "Fresh air and exercise will probably do you the world of good," he says and I smile, a blush making my cheeks heat up.
"What was that?" I mumble, embarrassed.
"That was your wolf getting pissed off at having to be confined to a car for so long," Jason answers softly and I frown.
"I don't have a wolf, Jason," I mutter.
"Trust me, baby, you have a wolf. If you didn't you wouldn't heal like you do or go into heat like you did, and you really wouldn't growl," he says as he pulls us into a small car park. The car park belongs to a small cafe that looks as if it were built in the twenties.
"How sure are you that Samuel Patricks lives here?" I ask as we finally get out the damn car.
The heat is sky high today, not one cloud in the clear blue sky. The sun blazes down on us strongly as we head toward to cafe. I'd washed and dressed in the public toilets we'd found at 4am this morning, talk about freezing to death! But I feel much cleaner and I smile softly as the warm breeze lifts my hair and touches my legs. I'm wearing a soft summer dress, no heavy material though, I'd fry. It's a simple white, fitted dress, which flares out just below the hips and stops just below my knee. The straps are thin enough not to stop shoulder movement, but thick enough to hide my bra strap. I cast a glance toward Jason and I take in his dark blue jeans and dark grey fitted T-shirt. It isn't so tight that it's a show of male pride, in fact, Jason doesn't seem to notice just how good looking he is. I've seen numerous girls, both human and Werewolf stop and stare as he's gone by, yet he fails to notice any of them.
"What?" he asks, catching me looking at him and I blush. I hate blushing; it always brings my freckles out.
"Nothing, I was just thinking," I mutter and he frowns but lets it go as he opens the door and holds it open for me.
"Thanks," I say gently as I enter. I wait until he joins me before heading further into the cafe. Sitting down at a booth, I cast a glance around.
The cafe is set in a straight line, with the booths along one side, windows lining the wall so you could look out and the counter and kitchen on the other side. The colour scheme would've hurt your eyes had the pinks, blues and purples been florescent, as it was, they're softer tones.
"Do you know what you want to eat, baby?" Jason asks without looking up from the menu he holds in front of him. I look down at my own menu unseeingly, he's been using that endearment a lot lately. Does he actually see me as a baby who needs to be looked after or something else? Was he just using it as a friendly conceptual term?
