My Accident (Nanowrimo2018)

Chapter 9

Katrina listened hard as he told her about Mr. JoJo and his wife. Katrina was wondering if Michael would become just like him. Katrina always loved being able to spend time with the older people around her. She found she learned more when she hung out with them then when she would hang out with those around her age. Katrina and Michael kept talking throughout the night. The more Katrina found out, te more she thought about how her relationship with Michael was. She felt like this couple has come a long way. she was surprised to know Mr. JoJo was just in a coma the month and even a week just passed. Michael said, "it surprised me to see he was sitting up reading. I know everyone's situation is different I just sat and talked with him for a good while. He is one patient I will never forget." Katrina said, "I bet you won't. He left an impact on you."

Michael smiled thinking about what his day has shown him. Katrina told him about how her day went. She knew her day wasn't as good as his. Michael could tell there was something on her mind by how slow she was talking. Katrina said, "I'm alright. I just had a flash of something else." Michael said, "sweetie you do know it's possible not all of your memories had come back even though it seems as if they have right?" Katrina got scared. She said, "please don't tell me that. I want to keep enjoying my life and not getting lost in my past." "Just because parts of your past come to the front of your mind, it doesn't mean that you have to let it consume it. You can use it to your advantage. Just take all that emotion and use it with your writing and your relationships around you." Katrina smiled and said, "when did you become so smart?"

Michael laughed, said, "I believe it came over time and going through experiences." Katrina laughed and said, "baby, you're right but sometimes I just can't help but get lost in you." Michael said, "of course you can't. That's why you're stuck with me and you love it." Katrina rolled her eyes and said, "you are so full of yourself, but I do love you." Michael said, "I'm so glad you do. I know our life is going to get tough at times, but you don't know how much it means to me I know I have you beside me." "I'm proud to be your wife. It's not just because you are a doctor and you gave me more than what I had. It's because you also managed to keep up a relationship in the process. You managed to balance your schooling, me and going to work everyday all the time. You are a tough worker and I respect that. You've helped me to do the same thing and I will be forever grateful. We have formed an unchangeable bond. If it breaks I know there won't be anything else like it. Our love is one of a kind and I know we must cherish every moment because we may not wake up the next day."

Michael said, "I'm glad we have made it a year and six months." Katrina was taken aback to realize he remembered how long they have been married for completely. she wanted to test him and find out what else she could get out of him. Michael watched the expression on her face appear. He said, "I know that look. You got something devious going on in your head." Katrina said, "no I don't. I was just thinking about how long a road we have ahead." Michael said, "yeah right and I'm the Easter bunny." Katrina started laughing. She didn't want him knowing what she was thinking. Michael said, "we have been together a good minute. It doesn't mean I don't remember when we got together. It was September 25. Katrina looked at him and smiled. He was correct. She gave him a kiss and he picked her up. They started kissing and Katrina was moaning.

Michael said, "I love it when you moan for me. It makes me want you even more." Katrina giggled. Michael started sucking on her neck. He liked being able to feel the erection he would get when she would moan and lean into him as he was licking. Katrina said, "babe it feels good. Don't stop." Michael said, "if you ask, you shall receive." Katrina said, "yes it's true. It's even said in the Bible. I'm glad I got you. You make me happy and you tried before we got married and all if did was make me want you even more." Michael said, "I like being wanted and needed. It gives me a sense of purpose. I know it means I must step up as a man, but I know I can do this. I know I can be the man who you will want, and I can continue to work on myself." Katrina said, "you are what I want and need. I am okay with you wanting to become what you want to be. I am just happy with you."

Michael and Katrina kissed for a little while and they laid back.They were making out and just enjoying the moment. Katrina and Michael let the night bring them into a feeling of lust and desire. As they let it overtake them, the morning had come. When they got up and went to work, they texted throughout the day. They talked on the phone when they were on break. When Katrina got off, she stopped by the chicken wing place down the road from the house. Katrina picked up two fried chicken meals and headed back to the house. When she got there, Michael was already inside. She saw his car sitting in the driveway. When she got in the door, she sat the food down on the living room table and went to their room. She took a shower and when she was coming out the room, she saw Michael coming out the hallway bathroom.

She walked over to him said, hi honey, and gave him a kiss. He took his clothes to the laundry room. He said, I saw you went over to Carolina Wing House. Katrina said, I just wanted to do something different for dinner tonight. I just got some fried chicken dinners. Michael said, Im cool with that. We have been busy, its okay to slack. Katrina laughed. Dont worry I will get back to catering to you. I like being a good wife to you. I cant be neglecting my wifely duties. Michael said, you making dinner is not a big deal, but I know your mom raised you to know to take care of the man you are with. Of course, she did. I just need to get back to doing those things. I got to get myself together and get a schedule going. I got to keep myself on a routine. Michael said, thats fine. I just dont want you to overwork yourself. It will just be me working at the library a little less and just making sure Im doing what I need to do here.

Michael said, you just wont work until close is what you mean right? Yes, thats what I mean. Im not quitting my job. I just feel like I need a better purpose as your wife. I want to be there for you in every possible way. I must know how to be independent and keep my man. I dont want you to leave me for another woman because I screwed up somewhere. Michael said, you dont have to worry about that happening. I know there will come a time when it will seem like a possibility. Its just that I will work my hardest to make sure it doesnt happen. I married you because I love you. I love everything you are and how you accept me for the person I am. You care about others and you go the extra mile. I love you for it all and I know you love me. I want to see what the world is going to bring us. I know there are moments when you still look at the Bible and reread over your favorite verses about love. Yeah, I see you.

I didnt realize you were paying attention. I know I try to make time for my God. He is the reason we are together. He is how I can keep the strength to get through each day. I know I dont always use my common sense. I just know I must improve just as well. I must work hard and trust in our relationship. I must keep my prayers aligned the right way to have a peace of mind. I know God knows whats in our hearts and minds. I just want to keep myself and us on track. Michael said, I can tell by looking at you, youre getting yourself all worked up. Come sit down on the couch, and we can talk about this some more. I dont want you trying to take on more than what you can handle and destroying yourself in the process. Katrina said, I know I can do this. I am confident right now. I know when I was in school I was having issues with my confidence and my self-esteem. I am in control right now. I got this. Trust me.

They sat on the couch and wrapped up their conversation. After that, they watched a movie and went to bed. Katrina found herself waking up in the middle of the night. She got up around 2. She went to the bathroom and drunk some water. She went to her writing room and got out some paper. She made a list of all the things she wanted to do. She made a list of what was necessary and what wasnt. She knew she was going to make time for her writing too. She knew she had to keep everything in order. She wanted to have a sure-fire way to do what she needed to. Once she was done, she got up and went back to bed. She snuggled up under Michael and went back to sleep. When she got up the next morning, Michael was gone and there was a note. She picked it up, and it read, Please take your time today. I know you want to be Mrs. Super Woman. I just want you to be able to move when I get back. I love you. You will always be my Mrs. Super Woman."
