"I missed you too." Katrina climbed into bed and snuggled up with him. Katrina was happy to know she could come home to relax and spend time with someone who truly loves her. Throughout the night the kissed and made looks at each other. Katrina was happy she cold stay in his arms for the night. She didn't want to be anywhere else. These days she felt like her life with Michael was changing. She was trying to fit into the image of being someone she wasn't. She began to wonder if Michael noticed how she changed. She also wanted to know what he wanted to talk to her about. She began to let her mind travel. After a while she started yawning. She knew she needed to stop trying to figure it out. She knew she still had to work in the morning. She yawned one more time. She made herself comfortable and dozed off. When Michael got up for work the next morning, he slid from under Katrina. He made sure she was covered up and he kissed her forehead.
Katrina and Michael were both up by 8. Katrina made it to work on time and was happy about being able to talk to her husband on her break. Katrina knew it was one thing which would never change. She was going to make sure she talked to him no matter what. She even messaged him when she got the chance to sneak off in the bathroom. She just made sure she didn't tell him that's what she was doing. She knew Michael would tell her to get back to work. Katrina went through her day feeling good. She wasn't going to let negative thoughts cloud her judgment. Katrina was glad she could talk to Michael on her break. Katrina called him, and he said, "hi babe how was your day?" "It was good so far. How is your day going?" "Its going pretty well. I hope the day will get even better." "I know it will. I know you can handle whatever God throws at you." "Thank you for the boost babe. You always know just what to say. I love you." "I love you too."
They both went through the rest of their day with ease. When Katrina got home, she decided she was going to watch a movie. She chose to watch the movie War Room. It was one of her favorite movies. She loved the Mrs. Clara character. She loved what the movie stood for. She was glad she didn't have any of the issues Elizabeth did. She knew she was going to have to keep praying to make sure she didn't. Katrina knew it was going to take a lot of time and energy. When Michael came home, Katrina was sitting in the living room and watching War Room for a fifth time. Michael said, "honey I'm home." Katrina started laughing. She got up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'm glad your home. We can watch this movie together." "What movie is it?" "It's called War Room. It's a movie about God and marriage. I think it's a really fantastic movie."
"Alright. Just let me change and sit for a spell." "That's fine. I'm going to heat up your food." Katrina took out the leftovers and made him a plate. She heated it up in the microwave. Katrina got back to the movie. She knew when Michael came, she was going to have to restart the movie. She didn't care because she knew it was worth it. Katrina grabbed her Bible and flipped through all the pages she had highlights on. She knew she needed to get back into doing her devotions. She knew it was time to start getting back to old habits. She needed her faith to be stronger than ever. She knew God would direct her in the right direction. She knew God had never steered her wrong. She knew it was time to build back up her relationship with her heavenly father. As time passed, Michael came and sat in the living room. He had his plate and sat right next to her. Katrina pressed play on the DVD player. Katrina was glad he was going to watch it with her.
When Michael finished his plate, Katrina paused the movie. She knew he wasn't going to let it sit in the sink. When he got done washing the dish and silverware, he dried his hands and went back to his seat. Once he was sitting down, Katrina pressed play. As they got to the climax of the movie, Michael was into the movie. He was following the whole family line. He thought Mrs. Clara was a crack up. She made him laugh and he could tell she had spunk. He was surprised he was into the movie. When Katrina first told him the name of the movie, he figured it was going to be an action movie. When he realized it had women in it, he thought it was going to be a chick flick. The thought had finally passed his mind. He knew there were moments in the movie where you would consider it to be a family movie. When the movie was over, Katrina asked Michael what he thought. He said, "I thought it was a learning experience. I didn't know you could pray in your closet. I didn't know there were people who spent a lot of time with God in that way."
For Katrina whenever she watched the movie, it felt like a reminder. It was a reminder of what she truly wanted in life. It taught her how she needed to depend on God and no one else. She knew she needed to give Michael his space at times. She knew at some point she was going to have to practice the traits of the movie. If she wanted to know if they worked, she needed to test them out herself. She had to know if it was for real or not. Katrina knew she was going to have to rebuild on the relationship she had with the Lord. She knew it was time she did what she needed to do by him. She knew God was the only one she could trust. She knew he was a jealous man and that she needed to show him more love. She knew at the end of the day, she was more of a daughter of God then a wife to Michael. She knew she was married to him, but she belonged to God from the time she was born, and she wasn't going to ever forget it.
When Katrina went to bed that night, she made sure she gave God the praise. She said the Lord's prayer, but she also said a separate prayer just for what she wanted. She knew God could hear her. She knew God would always be there. With the passing of the week, Michael decided he was going to ask her. When she got home from work, Michael waited for her to get comfortable. When he saw her flipping through channels on the TV, he knew it was a good time. He got the remote from her and turned the TV down. "Katrina, we need to talk about something." Katrina got nervous. The only time Michael called her by her name was if she had done something wrong or if something serious happened. Katrina sat up on their bed. Michael said, "now last Monday I found out some things and I want to know if you can give me some answers. Katrina was trying to figure out where this conversation was leading. She just watched as he stared into her eyes.
Katrina said, "I will tell you anything you want to know." "Oh, I know you will. I do however want to talk to you about the things I found out. See this past week, I was thinking about how you have been acting. You have not been yourself. You haven't even been writing your stories and it's shocking. It's made me wonder if you even gave it up." Katrina was about to speak when Michael said, "you can't tell you haven't because that's not what it looks like. It looks way different. I promise you, I am not pleased with you walking around like a robot. I know when you have reached your limits. I know you have been on those perfect women sites. Woman, do you realize I know when you are not being yourself. I know my wife and I know for a fact you are stretching yourself. I love you and I don't like that you are trying to fit into this image. I know what you can do. I know you were still able to take care of me and yourself without this website."
"How did you know all of this? I know for a fact I tried to put everything to where you wouldn't see it." Michael laughed. He said, "baby, I literally went in your writing room. You left the page open on the computer. I also saw the notebook of notes you took." Katrina put her head down. Michael put his hand on her chin and lifted her head up. He said, "baby, do you get that I love you for who you are. That's the whole point of a marriage. We accept each other for who we are. We don't let anyone, or anything change that." Katrina smiled. "I swear you have changed over time." "I may have but at least it's been for the better. I love you to pieces." "I love you too. I will go back to being the person I was. I just don't want you leaving me or ending up hating me." "We are not a typical relationship. We aren't other people. We don't fit the stereotypes. We don't fit into the statistics. Do you know why that is?" "It's because we don't do anything by the book."
"Exactly. We do the opposite and we make sure we keep in check with each other. We stick to how we have always ruled our relationship. We say our prayers and we communicate all day. We do special things for each other all the time. You continue to dress the way you do at night, and you let me tap that all the time." Katrina started laughing. "Babe, you just can't help yourself, can you?" "No, but at least I'm talking about you and not having pictures of other women on my phone. At least I am coming home to you, and not making excuses of why I'm not home. I could never put you through it. I know there were times when you didn't believe I wouldn't, but I am saying this because it's the truth. I love you too much to do it. I have become a complete sap and I just want you to know I'm not going anywhere."
