Anatomy is basically body shape, its one of the most important things in art, getting a good grip on anatomy opens up to the rest of the art style, like if your going for a simple, cartoony art style, anatomy is STILL a huge part of the drawing, so lets get into MY personal tips on anatomy

1. Make points
Before I make my art, I always mark where the head will be, then, I add lines to show where its facing, but thats for another lesson, the important thing is the body and limbs, you can add something as simple as lines for the limbs, better actually if you put circles on the joints for each limb, a maximum of three for each is good, you can also use this for hands and feet, but das for another lesson, anyway, don't over do it, cuz once you get a good grip on your anatomy skills, you may no longer put circles on the joints, here a sketch of mine so you can get an idea of what I'm talking bout

You see in the first image, I added some circles on the joints, this helps me take note of each joint and help with its shape, since a limb does change after you pass the joint, this is why the top and bottom half of your arm are different. The triangles on the end the arms are the hands, thats how I make them. The second picture has no circles on the joints at all, since I have plenty of experience now, I no longer need them, but its your choice if you want to keep using it or not

2. Base first, body last
You should almost always have to add the base first, it lets you take note of the position(das for another lesson), and then adding the lines help you take note of the shape, like in this picture

In the first half, its just the base, in the second, I added lines, now we know the shape of the character, of course, this was a female body shape, but we can also do other body shapes

3. Get insparation from other artists
This is always the key tip for every lesson I will give, this is one of the reasons why I'm the artist I am, when I was around 9, I've been watching alot of MLP artists like Ms Smile, Emala Jiss, and Arty Joyful, but enough stories, the main thing is, why not look at how others draw, and maybe try their art style, but you should try to move away from the that art style as much as possible :)

Okay, those are all my useless tips for now, baaiiiiii
