Filipinos: *Bursts through the door* WHOM'ST HAVE SUMMONED US?!--

*Beep*

Hey hi howdy, welcome to another episode of "me trying tp get through life with a bunch of self-doubts"

Also these Vocaloid songs are good-

My first filipino vocaloid

Found it about 2 years ago

Still love it

I'm not the only one who misread SingiGang as sinigang(banana) right?

Right??

Jesus christ that name if a mouthful

I have never heard of that word in my life

Btw Nakakapagpabagabag means something like worrisome or something, says in the vid

Btw if you're like me and took a few tries to get it right, here's the pronounciation

Nah-kah-kah-pahg-pah-bah-ga-bahg

Yes they're all soft
Please don't pronounce it in that cringey american accent, it physically hurts us

I lOVE THESE CHORUSES OKAY--

I don't have much to say about this one other than its good-

And all of these songs have one thing in common, they heavily remind me of the fact I can't speak my own language

You know how during puberty, your brain cuts bits of grey matter out from areas you barely use in order to become more efficient(thats why learning new things in childhood is MUCH easier than after puberty)? Well yeah I kinda blame my parents for this enigma cuz they didn't expose me to enough tagalog or ilonggo media

Like yeah I watched a tagalog slice of life when I was little but I don't think that was enough

Funny story according to my 2 aunts, when I was way younger, my dad told them to speak to me in english, most likely to teach me it. I don't think he realized that I won't grow up automatically speaking hiligaynon or tagalog cuz soon(maybe by that they mean years later) he told them to talk to me in hiligaynon, but by that point they've become uncomfortable speaking to me in any other language other than english, so it was too late now.

Basically I blame my parents. Yeah I didn't really pay attention during filipino class so I kinda blame myself but that was after my brain cut off some grey matter in the language area so thats probably why I lost interest SUPER quickly.

Plus, all I watched back then was Disney Channel, Disney Jr., Nick Jr.,  and Cartoon Network

Basically all english shows

Great, I can't even speak my own damn langauge and yet I'm considering learning Malay, Japanese, or Spanish as other languages

Now I wanna cry in the corner

See ya!
