The US flag behind the Middle Ages knight
New World colonization by Britain didn't even start until the 16th century(the first permanent colony was established in the eary 17th century according to google)
The Middle Ages ended around the 15th century
In Europe
For something that claims to be an Editor's choice, why not try being a tad bit more accurate(like seriously even without me explaining why this is so bad you can immediately see something's very wrong with it)
