“So did you guys enjoy the concert?” Michael yelled at us as they ran off stage, still pumped about performing.

“It was amazing!” Katey yelled.

“You guys were amazing!” Gill added.

“Loved every minute of it!” Christine said quickly.

“Did you have fun?” Luke said loud enough only I could hear since he stood right next to me.

“Yes! You guys are so amazing and talented! I had a blast! It was well worth the wait of a whole year to finally see you guys!” I replied, causing Luke to grow a smile almost as big as mine.

“Good.” He said. We we’re so caught up in this moment between us I almost missed my friends talking to me, or trying to talk to me.

“Oh yeah, Luke, Michael, Calum, Ash these are my friends.” I directed to the guys. “This is Katey, Gill and Christine.” I said as I pointed to who was who as I said their name.

“Well it’s great to meet you guys!” Calum said to them. For a moment I thought Katey was either going to:

a. pass out on the spot

b. melt at the sound of him talking to her or

c. explode since she loved Calum the most.

but she seemed to be doing okay and responded with,

“No it’s great to meet you! We love this band. We all have posters on our walls of you and jam out to your music 24/7!” she started rambling with nerves.

“Katey calm down!” I laughed at her with a slight hint of embarrassment in my voice. I didn’t want them, and when I say “them” I mean Luke, to think I was another one of those crazy fans that obsessed over them.  But the boys just thought it was funny and laughed it off.

“Well that’s good to hear. Do you guys have some time? You can come back to the dressing room with us.” Calum said, but mainly looking at Katey while he said it. As if he was hoping we would say yes just so he could talk to Katey, like how Luke wanted to talk to me.

“Yeah its crazy outside it’ll take forever to get out of here, we might as well.” I said and Katey, Gill, and Christine nodded with agreement. I could see Luke was really happy with my response because as we all started walking back to the dressing room, Luke followed very close behind me.

“So Katharine how are you feeling?” Ashton asked me.

“Better now thanks. Still have a bit of a head ache, but that’s probably just because of how loud it was.”

“Oh yeah, what happened to you? One minute you’re right behind us the next you’re gone and we’re asked to come back stage and we find you hanging out with them!” Gill asked me.

“Oh well, after we ran over to where the guys were supposed to be coming out I was pushed down by a sea of girls and hit my head on the pavement and scrapped my leg and I got really dizzy and thankfully managed to make it out of crowd, but I lost you guys in the mass of people and that’s when Luke found me. He took me back stage and got somebody to clean my cuts.”

“Oh my god.” Gill said when I finished.

“Are you ok?” Christine added

“Yeah I’m fine now.” I said laughing as we all took a seat in the dressing room, Luke making sure he got the seat next to me.

We all went back and forth asking questions, finding out we all have a lot in common. Eventually everyone was having their own conversation with someone so Luke took my hand and we snuck out of the room, unnoticed by everyone else and headed back to the stage.
