Chapter 15

It’s now the beginning of December; Gill, Katey and I have been in Australia for 6 months now. We'll be officially start school and the beginning of February, which is equivalent to us starting school in September. In the mean time we started taking some classes, which are basically like summer classes. We haven't officially started school yet because when we came here, back in July (which was Australia’s winter) they were in school, now that it's December (it now their summer) kids are out of school for summer. These different seasons are really annoying; every morning I half expect to see snow on the ground because back home in the US it's winter, but here it's the beginning of summer.

Luke and I have been dating for over a year now, a year and 6 months to be exact. On our one year anniversary, we celebrated by doing something fun and went lazier tagging and go carting. I told him not to get me anything because he's given me so much already and I feel bad because I can't really afford to get him anything special. He says its fine and just being with him is the greatest thing of all. I got him a few things though, like some CDs he really wanted and new a beanie. I'm still looking to get a job so it was the only thing I could afford right now. However I'm real close to getting a job at a marine research center, if I get that job, I want to surprise Luke with a new guitar.   

The boys have been busy back at the studio, writing songs for a new album. They are actually having an album release party next month. Of course the girls and I were invited, along with Niall, Harry, Zayn, Liam and Louis (aka One Direction) who we’ve actually become really close with. The boys also invited a boat load of other people like the members of All Time Low, Blink 182, Green Day, and some of their other music inspirations and friends.

***Katharine's POV***

Gill and I meet up with Katey at the bottom of the stairs to the apartment. The four bedrooms were separated, two upstairs and two downstairs. Downstairs, Ash had one bedroom and Calum and Katey had the other while Gill, Michael, Luke and I were in the two bedrooms upstairs.

"Morning!" Ash yelled/giggled as we walked over to the boys who were all hanging around the island in the kitchen eating breakfast. The smell of bacon, eggs and waffles filled the air. Gill groaned at Ashton's peppy remark, still not fully awake yet. She sat on Michael's lap and folded her arms across the counter and rested her head on her arms. Katey walked over to Calum and I walked over to Luke also not fully awake, but we were more awake than Gill. I grabbed a plate containing waffles, scrambled eggs, and bacon, taking a seat at the counter and Luke kissed me good morning.

“So what are you guys doing today?” Calum asked.

“We’re going to go shopping for our dresses for the party.” Katey said.

“And we might go to the beach after.” I added taking a breath in between bits. Since we’ve lived here, where it’s practically summer all the time, we’ve managed to go to the beach at least twice a week, sometimes more.

“Nice, we have to go work at the studio today, which is why were up early, but maybe we can join you later at the beach.” Luke explained.

“Ok, we’ll call you when we’re going.” I said.
