***Luke’s POV***

I woke up with the sunlight shinny in my face through the blinds. As I slowly started to open my eyes and stretch, I could feel an empty space next to me. I quickly sat up and saw Katharine was gone. I jumped out of bed and hurried downstairs in only a pair of sweatpants.

“Kat?” I said loud enough you would be able to hear it through the whole house. There was no response.

As I walked around the kitchen I noticed a note on the counter

“Luke, I have softball practice this morning at 10, and then I’m going to the studio to work on my painting for a little bit. Be back at around 2 and then we can spend the rest of the day together.  Love, Kat”

I checked the clock and saw it was 10:30, okay I have some time, I thought. I have to call the guys and organize our show we’re having. The mates and I are having a special two day concert to raise money to help Katharine with the medical bills, any fees for Katey and Gill to transfer over to Monmouth so we can be with Katharine again and then all the extra money will go to any charity of Katharine’s choice. We’ve asked a number of artists to be in the show including our mates One Direction, All Time Low, Green Day and some of Katharine’s favorite artists like Fall Out Boy, Imagine Dragons, The 1975, Artic Monkeys, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Iggy Azalea, and us of course.

“Hey mate!” Ashton, Calum and Michael greeted me as the video chat connected.

“How’s New Jersey?” Calum asked.

“It’s good-” I started but was soon cut off by Katey and Gillian running into the frame.

“Katharine!” they yelled as they sat in front of their computer.

“Luke!” they sighed with annoyance.

“Well it’s nice to see you too.” I said sarcastically.

“Where’s Katharine?” Katey demanded.

“I don’t know, out for a walk, taking a trip to the moon.” I said mockingly.

“Not funny now where is she?” Gill asked now getting pissed off.

“At softball practice and then she’s going to work on her painting.” I told them and they both sighed with defeat.

“Why?” I asked.

“Because we never get a chance to video chat with her and we miss our best friend that’s why.” Katey said storming off. Calum ran after her trying to calm her down since she clearly got upset, while Gill continued to sit on the floor next to Michael and rested her head on his shoulder.

“Ok did I miss or do something?” I asked confused to what just happened, while Calum and Katey walked back into view a few seconds later.
