Part Two
Unsatisfied, is the word that aptly describes human nature, humans are never satisfied with what they have, the one who has money he doesn't has time for family, the one who has time for family but doesn't have enough money and he has to run around to earn money, Some have both family and money but they are unable to balance it because they aren't satisfied, there is always a greed for more.
He has money, he is successful but is alone, his life has become so lonely after loosing his parents, which category should he be characterised? He loves family more than money but he has none, returning to that lonely house feels like a burden , everyone envies his success but no one knows the feeling of suffocation while returning to a house with no one to wait for you, to smile and ask about your day and worry about your eating habits. The ringing of his cell broke the chain of thoughts, sighing he sat upright in his chair and picked his cell.
"Assalamualaikum Asad Bhaijaan" A boyish voice greeted him. A instant smile graced his lips, his light brown eyes lit up and dimples marked their presence on his cheeks. He scratched his jaw that was lined with the beard.
"Walekumassalam Ayaan, how are you? How is Zeenat Khala and Nuzhat?" He asked running a hand through his jet-black hair.
"Alhamdulillah, everyone's good..how are you?"
"Alhamdulillah"
"ummm Bhaijaan are you still in office?"
"Yeah , why?" Asad frowned.
"I'm actually at the airport, I'll take taxi to your office, we can go home together then"
"Yeah okay, do you have some work here?" Asad asked surprised that Ayaan was in the city.
"No.. I mean yes... Not officially work but yeah it's important.." Asad groaned knowing well what his work was. Khala had been pestering him to get married, when she couldn't get him to agree , she had sent Ayaan to talk to him, it was funny as Ayaan shuttered trying to explain him importance of Nikha, but failed miserably as he was afraid of Asad's reaction.
"I guess Khala trained you well this time" He teased. Ayaan gave a nervous laugh.
"I have written down the speech bhaijaan" Asad laughed and asked him to reach the office soon.
"Sir can I come in?" Asad allowed him in.
"Sir the papers are completed and faxed to Mr.Raymon"
"This file contains the details for Mughal architecture tender" Asad opened the file but looked up as Prasad shifted on his feet nervously.
"What is it Prasad?" Asad looked at his secretary.
"Sir it's past office hours, everyone left completing their tasks.."
"So? You can go too, your work is done"
"And you sir?" He asked hesitantly.
"I'm staying"
"But Asad it's not good for your health, you are working extra hours everyday" He voiced out his concern unable to control it anymore. Asad regarded his secretary, he was a couple of years elder to Asad and was with him since Asad started working under his dad, they both started working together and kind of shared a friendly bond.
"Thanks for you concern Prasad, I'm just waiting for my brother, he is on his way to the office, I'll leave once he arrives" Asad smiled politely at him. Prasad nodded in understanding, he didn't pester Asad more because he wasn't the same Asad anymore, he has changed a lot since his father passed away, the jovial and carefree Asad was replaced by a serious and keeping things to himself Asad. There was another knock on the door, Ayaan popped his head in. Asad stood up beckoning him in, he approached his brother giving him a hug, he was 5.11' and Ayaan was of same height.
