Part Fifty Two

It was a cold grey evening with dull sky,  threatening rain, there was a clap of thunder and the black clouds began to rain.

It wasn't any different from her mood. She felt drained after the hours of crying, everytime she remembered their words , she would cry again, why was she crying over them, who don't care about her, what should she do now? She didn't want to come back to Asad's house, but she was forced to be back here, she was curled on the window seat in his room. When she had left his cabin, she was determined not to be with him again.

Zoya was glad she didn't meet any employees on her way to her cabin, she muffled her sobs, how can these two play with her emotions, when she didn't want to get married her Abbu got her married and when she wants to stay married, he wants her Nikah to end. And her husband, Asad , he always wanted this Nikah to work and never let her go when she tried everything to leave him and now when she wants to stay with him, he was ready to divorce her, she was unnerved by his calm demeanour, it was a clear indication, it wasn't a big deal for him.

She grabbed her face veil and handbag, she was determined to leave on her own, she wasn't going to stay at either of the houses, she wasn't going to let them play with her. She had no idea to where but not back to either of them. She walked out of the office and towards the main road waiting to get a taxi, she was furious at her father and husband, and ready to disobey Asad, he had asked her never to travel alone but wasn't he suggesting she left with driver though that was one of the trusted men of Asad yet he asked her to go with driver while he never liked her travelling with nonmehram men, of course he was already planning on ending their Nikah that's the reason he didn't care about her, was it all because of being disappointed with her reports. She bit her bottom lip to keep herself from crying on the road as she recalled her father's words, 'you don't have kids to worry about' , she shook her head, she needs to get away , she doesn't know exactly to where but somewhere she won't be seeing them, at least for now. She looked up as a car stopped infront of her.

"Get in Bhabhi." Haider said getting down, she frowned stepping back and shook her head in negative.

"Bhabhi, we don't have time to argue, its safe for you to return home or go back into office." He said trying to convince her.

"I not going either of places." She replied trying to keep fright out of her tone.

"Do you realize you will be putting yours and even your father and husband's lives in danger?" Zoya's eyes widened, she wasn't going to believe him, its another blackmail. She started walking away.

"Okay, you don't trust me, fine go, but you will be responsible for anything bad that will happen with them and even yourself." She halted at his words, she turned to face him.

"Please." He said opening the back door for  her. She sighed and entered the car. He spoke to the driver, she didn't know if she should be trusting them but Asad did trust Haider. Her worry eased as she was dropped at her house, she quickly rushed in, the ride had made her worried sick as worst scenarios crossed her mind.

She wiped her tears, she didn't knew how could she still shed tears after crying for hours. What should she do now? Leave him, well that's what both of them want, it's just going to make it easy for them, should she refuse the divorce? How will that help her in anyway, she would be forcing him to live with her and he can easily ignore her, she would be causing herself pain and nothing else. Maybe she should just end the Nikah and leave him and even her father. She still couldn't believe what they spoke, had she been wrong in knowing them? Were they always this insensitive? If she tried thinking negative about them , she is reminded of their positive and caring behavior and when she tries thinking positive, their negative things pop up.
