"Please tell me it isn't true." A whisper entered my ear from behind. I looked back to see Liz catching up to me as we entered the school building.

"What's true?" I asked her with confusion.

She leaned closer and whispered again. "You're living with... Dirty Tom"

I stopped for a brief second upon hearing Liz' statement. Where in the world had she found out about that? I haven't even told her yet. I gazed at her in complete astonishment and she  just eyeballed at me.

We continued walking for we heard the first school bell rang.

"Oh so what. Were you even planning to tell me in the first place?" Her voice toned up a bit.

"How did you even know?"

She froze for a quick second before answering me, she had that hesitant look on her face as she spoke.

"Your brother told me," her voice changed into a high pitch. My eyebrow rose knowing that everytime  Liz' voice pitched high up, she has something up her sleeve. Lucky for her I have a different important thing to attend to so I'll let it slide for now.

"Which brother?" I wanted to ask anyway.

"G-gustin." She whispered and then blinked.

I huffed. I should have known.

"What were you thinking Gabby!" Liz shrieked. "Tom Henderson is Dirty Tom. The DIRTY TOM," she even gestured her fingers to put emphasis on the latter label.

I fuzzed slightly. "You think I don't know that? I have no idea why, what, and how happened. All I know is that I'm already in this mess."

We went through the staircase leading to the second floor where our first class was. Some random girl passed by us and said hi in which we gladly said hi back.

"What if he kills you?" She gasped for dramatic effect. "What if he kills the baby first and then kill you and your family!!" She added ending her exaggerated statement with a weep.

I struck her with a glare. What an imagination. I mean, there would be no way for that to happen. Who in the world would want to kill an innocent baby that hasn't even been born yet.

Or... Maybe she does have a point.

Nah.

"That's not going to happen Liz."

"Yeah? Well how do we know that huh? Besides, how'd you get him involved by the way?"

We finally arrived at our class and I head straight to my seat. Liz followed me first instead of going straight to her own seat. Good thing our professor's not yet around.

"I convinced him," I retorted, avoiding Liz' eyes. But I know she doesn't believe me so I have no choice but to tell her the real answer.

"Okay. Fine. I just reminded him of his negative records and that my Dad's a cop." I told her.

Liz wheezed. "You blackmailed him?"  Her voice was a bit loud causing the others to move their eyes on us. Both of us flashed them our best fake smile with a chuckle and they went back doing their own businesses.

"It's not a blackmail.. okay fine. Maybe it is."

Liz shook her head. "So you'd rather have that Tom enter your life than tell Cameron about this."

"What's the worse that could happen?" Actually, a lot of worse things could happen. But, at least it doesn't have to get anything to do with Cameron or Jennifer. Not in a way that could push Jen to make my life a living hell that is.
